Honor's Splendor

Honor's Splendor

Hi everybody, I 'd just like to say, to all of you who have read, Painful Realization, sorry about not getting another chapter out, but I had just gotten an idea for this story, and had to write it. I'll try to get more chapters up ASAP, but I think you'll like this story even more.

Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon, nor do I own the rights to the book Honor's Splendor, written by Julie Garwood.

P.S. if you can, go out and read that romance novel, it's great.

                                                            Prologue

                        England, 1090

Twelve men surrounded the man they had tied up. They meant to kill him, their knives were drawn, just in case the devil decided to attack. All of them knew he was a close friend of the king, and a valued warrior. None of them thought him as stupid to enter Lord Diamond's domain under a sing of truce. Everyone knew of the war raging between Lord Darien Shields and Lord Diamond Knight.

The plan was simple really, once Lord Shields entered the fortress they were to strip him of his clothes and tie him to a post in the middle of the courtyard, where he would freeze to death. Then they would dump the dead body out in the woods somewhere, and make it look like he froze to death. Lord Diamond had already left for court, to attain his alibi, and the plan was already going perfectly.

The men on the other hand were being driven in by the cold, no longer in the mood to taunt and torment their captive.

"Why do we have to stay out here, it ain't like he can get away." one of the guards shouted

"'Tis the devil he is, no normal man can stay out in this weather for this long -N- live." another shouted over the harsh wind.

"Ain't like no-body's gonna know if we stayed the whole time." Another voiced

"Well I guess you're right. No body's gonna know if we stayed here or went inside, so lets go." The leader said after looking the captive in the eyes.

The man stood there for a few minutes before he noticed someone in a dark cloak standing in front of him with a dagger in her hand. He was getting ready to attack when her voice reaches him.

"Don't move, I'll have you out in a minute. I saw what they were doing and decided to rescue you, before I leave."

He immediately relaxed his stance, ready to pounce, if her words proved to be false. He knew who she was, oh yes, his sole reason for coming to this hellhole; Lady Serena, the Baron's sister.

After a few moments she had his arms free and moved to his legs. As he heard the shrill whistle over the wind he held his hand up, a sign to wait. He was most curious as to what this beauty before him had planned. When she stood up, she had his clothes gathered in her hands, with his heavy boots dangling from her fingers.

"Can you walk?" she asked.
