Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter
A/N Just a really quick story I wrote for Harry Potter way too late at night. Feedback would be appreciated.
Regulus knew that his brother loved him, much the same way that he knew that he didn't love his brother.
He had, once, loved Sirius. But now, when he watched his brother, in the halls at school, across the dinner table, or riding his broom, he didn't see his brother.
He knew that they were still related, of course. Sirius had told him that they were still related to Andromeda after she had been blasted off the tapestry, so he and Sirius were still related.
He didn't want to be related to Sirius anymore. He wanted his mother's actions to have erased his brother from everything, instead of just from the tapestry.
So when Sirius smiled at him in the halls, or winked at him across the tables at breakfast, he ignored the older boy.
Eventually, Sirius stopped.
He stopped acknowledging his little brother, like his little brother has stopped acknowledging him.
Regulus should have counted this as a victory: the first time he had ever broken through Sirius' stubbornness.
So why did he feel so sick inside?
