"Hey Dawson, isn't it karaoke night tonight?" Otis asked, walking up to her in the kitchen.
"Hey, yeah it is. Bring people if you want." She said, looking out over her co-workers.
"Sure thing." They replied, before going off to their latest call.
That night-Molly's
"Hey sis, you have quite the turn out tonight." Antonio said, walking into Molly's with his wife.
"Hey guys. Yeah karaoke night does that." She replied, hugging them both. "Where are the kids?"
"With Mom and Dad." Antonio said, grabbing and beer and sitting on one of the stools with Laura next to him.
"Cool. I will see you two later." She said, before running off towards Shay and hugging her.
"She's happy." Laura commented, taking water instead.
"Yeah I've noticed. Gabs, have you had a bit to much to drink tonight?" Antonio called out.
"Yeah just a wittle bit." She replied, laughing and walking behind the bar.
"Dawson, you're up first!" Kelly yelled out to his co-worker.
"Which Dawson?" They all yelled out.
"Gabby!" He replied, watching her walk onto the stage.
"I don't know how this song is going to turn out, had a bit too much tonight." She said, as the music to Catch Me by Demi Lovato started.
Before I fall to fast,
Kiss me quick but make it last,
So I can see how badly this will hurt me when you say goodbye
Keep it sweet, keep it slow
Let the future pass and don't let go
But tonight I could fall too soon into this beautiful moonlight
"I didn't realize she had such a good voice." Laura commented turning to Antonio.
"Yeah, she stopped when she was seven." He replied
But you're so hypnotizing
You've got me laughing while I sing
You've got me smiling in my sleep
And I can see this unraveling
Your love is where I'm falling
But please don't catch me...
"I keep forgetting she can sing." They boys whispered watching her with awe.
"Yeah, she is pretty good." Matt said, looking up at her.
See this heart won't settle down
Like a child running scared from a clown
I'm terrified of what you do
My stomach screams just when I look at you
Run far away so I can breathe
Even though you're far from suffocating me
I can't set my hopes too high
'Cause every "Hello" ends with a "Goodbye"
"She needs to sing more often." Laura said, sipping her water
"You got that right babe." he replied, kissing her.
But you're so hypnotizing
You've got me laughing while I sing
You've got me smiling in my sleep
And I can see this unraveling
Your love is where I'm falling
But please don't catch me...
So now you see why I'm scared
I can't open up my heart without a care
But here I go, It's what I feel
And for the first time in my life I know it's real
But you're so hypnotizing
You've got me laughing while I sing
You've got me smiling in my sleep
And I can see this unraveling
Your love is where I'm falling
So please don't catch me
If this is love please don't break me
I'm giving up so just catch me
Everyone stood up and applaused while she walked off stage.
"Sis, you need to sing more." Antonio said, watching her get another beer.
"Nah, every once in a while." She replied, sitting down with her family before her extended Firehouse 51 family joined them.
The End!
Thankyou for reading, I just adore this song. I read in one of MR interviews she sings so I thought I would make another lyric story hehe.
I do not own Chicago Fire, Chicago PD or this song.
