Death.
Death was a word Yuriy knew very well. First it was his older brother who had died of cancer on the eve of Yuriy's 4th birthday. He had loved his brother dearly, since he was the only one out of his family that truly cared about him
Next were his parents. He wasn't all that sad over seeing them go, but their death and went from being a dream come true to a nightmare in a matter of mere seconds. Boris Balkov, his father's life long friend, had been chosen to be little Yuriy's new guardian. Thus he was then thrust into the cruel hands of his future rapist/coach.
Yet even now, after escaping the dreaded abbey, death affected him. He was currently standing at the foot of Boris Kuznetsov's freshly dug grave. All throughout his time at the abbey, Boris had been by his side, protecting him when he could, fixing him up when he was punished for making a mistake, comforting him every time Boris laid one of his cold hands upon him. Their immense friendship had turned to true love after awhile, and Yuriy finally had something to live for in the abbey.
When they were finally able to escape from the Hell that was the abbey, they were a normal, happy, couple. They had a love like one would hear about in fairytales when they were a child. They were soul mates, destined to be with each other until they breathed their last breaths and beyond. Nothing could have been better for the two of them.
However, in a blink of an eye, their happiness was shattered. Balkov, blinded by rage and jealousy, hunted the couple down and had fatally wounded the lavender haired male. Balkov made the attempt to capture Yuriy; however, Yuriy had wrestled the gun away from the deranged abbey director and killed him in self defense. As Boris lay dying in Yuriy's arms, he told him to live for the both of them, that he didn't want Yuriy joining him just yet. He wanted Yuriy to experience living without having Balkov in the back of his mind.
Yuriy smiles as he placed the white rose he had been holding on Boris' tombstone. He would keep his vow, because he knew that one day, he and Boris would be reunited and that they would spend the rest of eternity together.
