This is only the start. A quite little opener...It is mostly for my friend slash beta type person. She's my Bahhb...I'm La Moo

"Stupid woman…she's taking Kisa away from me."

Hatsuharu shook his head. Children and their odd tendencies. He sighed as he glanced up at Hiro. He's a special one, that kid.

Hiro was like that younger sibling that you weren't expecting. The two didn't exactly connect well, not at first. However, that sibling bond grew with time and Haru began to consider Hiro as a younger brother.

"Ruining my plans…"

Haru stepped towards Hiro as the Sheep continued to pace through the den. "What is it this time?"

"It's that Tohru girl!" He murmured, not stopping to stare at Haru. "Kisa and I were supposed to meet up earlier today. We planned to go watch the new Mogeta film but she canceled last minute. She said that 'Onee-chan' was taking her instead."

Haru ignored the Sheep's whines and simply let him rant. If only, he understood…

"It was like she cares more about the stupid woman than me." Hiro's voice was now low. His lip was quivering slightly, but he wouldn't cry, he would not let himself.

The Ox shook his head once more and dragged the younger both towards the couch. Together, they sat side by side.

This was normal for the two. One would have assures and would start raving,. The other would listen to their problems, and, in his special way, help overcome the situations. It was usual for the two to spend long periods together talking.

However, it was not rare that the two might simply sit in silence. They enjoyed each other's company more so than most of the other Juunishi.

The Sheep and the Ox were not normal companions but Hiro and Haru made it work. Maybe it had to do with the fact that both boys fought hard for what and who they loved. It was a quality that made them different from the others. Different…but happy.

"Hiro, Kisa needs that 'older female' guidance in her life, someone she could look up to."

Hiro frowned. She could look up to me…

"Yeah, she has you, but she needs a female bond. That's not something you can easily solve." Haru placed his hand on Hiro's shoulder and grinned. "Now, instead of the cliché movie date, you can do something better…Maybe take her to the beach, or even the family onsen."

Hiro was quiet. "Yeah…she would like that." He had already begun planning their date.

"And remember…try to be more open with her. Talk to Kisa. You can't say one thing and expect her to know that you mean something entirely different."

"Yeah…"

Both boys fell into a silence. The Ox frowned and looked up at Hiro, who was staring at the floor. "Did you tell her exactly that you wanted to take her to see the movie?"

The young Ram started fidgeting in his seat. "Not exactly."

This wasn't unusual. Hiro didn't see why he needed to open up so much. Why couldn't Kisa see how he felt for her?

Haru pulled his younger cousin in for a hug. This, however, shocked the boy.

"One day, Hiro, one day you will understand."

Time rushed by and Haru found that he needed to leave. His younger cousin by blood…younger brother by love, stopped him.

"Hatsuharu?" His voice was soft.

It was quiet while he gathered his thoughts. Maybe Haru was hearing things, but Hiro opened his mouth.

"Thank you…"

His brows furrowed in confusion. "What for munchkin?"

He drew Haru into another embrace. "Thank you…for being here for me…all these years."

The Ox was frozen for only a moment before he replied. "OF course, Otouto."
