"Light-kun?"
"What is it, Ryuuzaki?"
"Do you like rainy days?"
"Hmm, it makes things gloomy and wet and drizzle…but it brings rainbow when it stops, and everything smells fresh…"
"Is that a yes, then?"
"I guess you could say so."
"I see."
"Sometimes you remind me of the sun, Light-kun."
"The sun?"
"Yes, the very radiant ones."
"You are aware that there is only one sun, are you not?"
"Of course, I am merely referring to a possible condition that it may reflect."
"Well, can't agree with you on that one. I like the idea of the sun, but not when it burns and stabs my eyes with sunbeams."
"You would rather prefer to stay in the dark, then?"
"That is not what I meant, Ryuuzaki, are there no shades of grey when the sun shines? It's always nice to stay within those shadowy spots when everywhere else is so hot and steamy…"
"Hmm, shades of grey, interesting. So do you like the sun or not, Light-kun?"
"I am not sure, maybe I do, or maybe I don't - like I said, shades of grey."
"Fair enough."
"Oh my, this wind is chilling the bone out of me, could you shut the windows please, Ryuuzaki?"
"I thought it'd be nice to have some wind breeze through the room, we don't go outside much, if you care to recall."
"That is not breezing, and it's snowing outside, aren't you cold? Close them for me, pretty please."
"No."
"Fine, I'd do it myself then."
"Dislike the wind that much, Light-kun?"
"Nope. Just don't wanna catch a cold."
"But you shut it out when it kisses you."
"I will let it kiss me again when it learns how to behave."
"Not when it cuts through your skin?"
"Most certainly not."
"Light-kun is so changeable."
"I most certainly am."
(The Kira part of him smirked.)
"What are you doing out there, Ryuuzaki? You'd get wet. Come inside with me."
"You said you loved the rain, did you not?"
"I did, but I don't want you getting wet and starting whining or worse catching up a fever…"
"Shades of grey and changing conditions again, Light-kun?"
Don't you see, Light-kun, that is exactly why I am afraid that you say you love me too.
I am just another one of your shades of grey.
finis.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
A/N: HAHAHAH I have no idea why I did this when I am supposed to be writing my Japanese Law essay. But anyways there you go. It sucks so thank you if you spend a precious one minute to read it. Inspired by a poem called 'I am Afraid' (which is said to be written by Shakespeare but I seriously doubt it because it's just not his style...). PM me if you're interested in reading the original.
