Okay, so THIS is my first Kingdom hearts fanfic. It's a drabbling oneshot for Axel and Roxas. I was watching the Stupid Files one night, and it just popped into my head. Here we go!

Axel cursed under his breath several times as he stormed across the darkness.

'Damn that Xemnas! Making me going after Roxas as if he's totally worthless now. Dammit Namine! You too, DiZ! Bastard! I'll never forgive any of you!'

He thought about the town Roxas was currently residing in. Twilight Town.

'Che.'

Ridicules.

He stopped abruptly when he realized where he was exactly. He summoned a few Dusks' before making his grand entrance.

When Roxas came into Axels view, Axel rubbed the back of his head.

"Heh, look at what it's come to. I've been given these icky orders to destroy you-," he hesitated "if you don't come back with me."

Roxas pleaded with his sharp eyes.

"But-," he felt the coldness shift within him.

'Don't do this to me, bud…' Axel thought desperately.

"-were best friends, right?"

Axel scratches his head again. "Sure, but I'm not getting turned into a dusk for-," a joyous realization bloomed in Axels chest. "Wait a sec! You remember now?!"

Roxas gave a numb 'y-yeah..'

"Great! But, you know, gotta make sure and all…so...umm…what's our boss's name?"

Axels tall, thin body bent forward slightly.

'What was going on in my head? Axel? What is she doing?'

Roxas's head spun as memories flowed right through him.

"No one would miss me…,"

"That's not true! I would…,"

'Oh god, Axel.'

"Don't leave, Roxas, please!"

'Axel, what have you done to get me back?'

"Get OFF!"

'Kairi?'

"Roxas!"

'Axel! Stop, I'm HERE!'

"I'm here…" the hoarse whisper rolled of Roxas's tounge, but remained unnoticed.

Axel looked down, sadness dripping through his face like a cracked dam.

"Man, I can't-," he was roughly cut off. He went flying back with a weight gaining on his torso. "WHAT!"

Axel landed on his back, and skid back slightly. When he came to a complete stop, he threw his arms to his sides and head back.

"…OW." He looked down his chest- only to be met by a mouthful of soft, sticky spikes. "Awe-," came his muffled response. He moved his tounge about and violently brushed the hairs out of his mouth.

He slowly began to stop when Roxas, who happened to be wrapped around him, said something. He watched his head intently, his tounge half way out his mouth.

"I'm here, Axel."

A gag was the response he got. Axel flipped over then started coughing. Roxas finally let go after a few deep inhales from Axel(which was moving Roxas's head).

"Lets go."

"Where?"

"Away. I'm sick of this."

"Okay. Me too."

Axel just lay there, breathing deeply and watching Roxas with relieved eyes.

Roxas also lay on his side, but did not support himself with his arms like Axel was doing so.

And they sat there, staring. Breathing. And at that moment, it seemed that everything faded away.

And as their hearts beat rhythmically, they found something else.

For the first time in months, they were living. Because they were together.

At last.
