Ending twist for
Pups Save the Hippos. Just an FYI my OC will be mentioned in Chap. 2 but she does not appear so I did not list her as a character. For those who are not sure AWOL stands for Absent Without Official Leave. R&R! :)

Zuma sighed. "Five times. Five times in a wow! One of the joys of being the watew pup." Zuma stared at his paws. "The pups don't need me anymowe. Why do I even bothew. I'm done." Zuma wrote a crude note to Ryder.
"Dear Ryder,
I'm sad to be writing this right now. I'm sorry to be so brief too. But bye. Please tell Marshall he's not the clumsy mutt he thought he is. Rubble that his sand castles were awesome. Chase that I forgive him for hitting me with his tennis ball cannon on accident. Rocky that he needs to try the water sometime. Skye that front flips are easier done on a trampoline or pillows. Everest that she's an ace skater. And you... thanks for all you've done for me. I left my pup tag, house and bowls in your garage.
Farewell, Zuma
PS please get a pup that really loves water to replace me."
Zuma went to do as he promised. With one final look back, he ran into the forest behind the Lookout, with a few things that did belong to him in an old fishing net.
"What's that?" Chase asked, noticing the note Zuma left on Ryder's bean bag chair.
Ryder walked over and picked up the note. He read it out loud, and the contents shocked all of the pups.
"Why would Zuma leave?" Skye asked, frowning.
Ryder shook his head. "I don't know."
"The normal Zuma would never do something he would regret, unless it was necessary to save someone else..." Rocky was thinking aloud, but not expecting an answer from anyone in particular. "But this doesn't sound like 'normal' Zuma."
All the pups whimpered.
"We have to find him." Ryder frowned.
Rocky stepped forward. "We're in," he said.
This is not a Rocky/Zuma story. I do not do gay pairings. Like Marshall and Chase, I take Rocky and Zuma as best friends. That aside, how did you like it? I saw that episode and immediately thought of this, and had to write it! Thanks for reading!
