The moonlight glisten softly in the night as Korra walked aimlessly in the swamp. She walked straight ahead as if she was possessed by some invisible force. Her eyes were fixed forward, nothing breaking her concentration. Even though the night was quiet, Korra could still heard the words from previous enemies and even from her inner self in her trouble mind.

"Pathetic!"

Korra clenched her fists

"A disgrace to all the Avatars!"

Her feet began to pick up the pace.

"No one needs you!"

Korra then broke out in to a sprint, passing trees like crazy.

"Disappointment! At least Aang was better!"

"LEAVE ME ALONE!" Korra yelled internally. Suddenly, she stumbled into a clearing. She slowly picked herself up and saw that she made her destination: The lake.

Korra stood in front of the lake, all cut and bruised from her fall and previously fighting against Toph in the beginning. She then walked a little to edge to see her reflection. When she did, she broke down crying out of nowhere! "I'm useless….."

Korra said as an image of her in Amon's clutches.

"I'm the worst Avatar that ever existed!"

A vision then appeared in her head as she looked at Republic City from a distance as she left to go back home.

"I come to Republic City all high and mighty, thinking I'll be the best but now look at me!"

Korra said as she splashed her reflection with her waterbending. Suddenly, Korra remember what Toph said to her earlier when she tried to heal her.

"The poison is still in your body"

"Well, if my body still has the poison in it then I have no choice but to get it out"

Korra slowly outstretched her hand, a small ball of water came from the lake and into her hand. It then began to take shape and formed an ice dagger in her hand. Korra then raised the ice dagger in a perfectly good angle while she said "I'm too weak to take it out so I might as well end it!"

Seeing it was in the right position, Korra then closed her eyes and began to thrust the ice dagger at her heart!

Then, out of nowhere, a needle sliced through the air and knocked the ice dagger out of her hands! Korra's eyes flew open in shocked and gasped loudly as she fell to the ground! "What the-?!" Korra choked out as she scrambled over to where her ice dagger she had just created fell at. When she got there, her eyes widen in shock! There, laid an needle that was struck into the ice dagger! Korra was rendered speechless! Where did it come from?! How did it breakthrough her ice dagger?! But more importantly, who threw it?!

"Now why would you do that?" A voice called out, abruptly.

Korra quickly turned around and saw a figure, a woman, appear a few feet from her with another needle in her hand.

Korra fully turned around to face the woman with wide eyes!

"It…can't be?!" Korra gasped out in utter disbelief. The woman eyed her carefully and placed her hands on her hips and said

"Oh what? I looked different to you or something?"

Korra felt her hands trembled as well as the rest of her body. Then, without warning, she went into her Avatar State. The figure and the Avatar looked at each other for a minute before the Avatar launched herself at the figure and pulled them into a big hug, tears flowing from her white glowing eyes as her lips quivered a bit.

"Mai…" Korra said in her Avatar State but ends up sounding a little bit more like Aang.

Mai smiled at her and said softly "Great to see you too Aang. Or should I say, Korra"
