That day, Sirius was on top of the Astronomy Tower, contemplating his next prank. He didn't hear the footsteps that pounded through the stairs until the door opened and a lanky, honey-haired boy almost tripped over him. Remus was panting hard from his desperate dash up the tower, and as Sirius stared up at him in disbelief, he said in short gasps, "I've got to tell you something, Padfoot."

"Go ahead, Moony," said Sirius, confused.

"I- I l- I lo- oh, stuff it, I'll just show you."

And with that, Remus pressed his lips to Sirius's, one quick motion that betrayed the fear and revulsion he felt about himself. It was just a touch- a brief touch- but it set Sirius's senses swimming and his mouth alight with fire, made him question everything he'd ever thought he knew, everything he'd ever thought to be true, because something that was that wrong just couldn't feel so right.

Remus had already pulled away, but without talking, without even looking in the boy's eyes to gauge his reaction, Sirius pulled his head back down to Remus's, capturing Remus's lips with his own and not letting go. This kiss- it was clumsy, it was nowhere near perfect, and it was exactly what Remus had wanted for so long. Their teeth knocked together and their noses bumped, but somehow, it was still flawless in its own erroneous way. Remus's tongue found Sirius's, and after that it was just another couple on the Astronomy Tower, just like every Friday since the creation of time- or at least, the construction of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

A/N: The only explanation I really have is that I was bored. And it jumped in my mind and wouldn't stop until I wrote it. Sorry for the stammering on behalf of Remus. He was tired.

DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything. Certainly not these guys, who would totally be making out every chance they got if I did.

Karma out.
