"How Long Have We Been Farting?"

A/N: This is only a small side-fic that I managed to turn out in about twenty minutes earlier today and it does not mean that I won't update on "Whispers in the Dark". I was at Scout Camp a week or so ago and the thought of Carmen and Juni falling into the volcano for three or four hours in Spy Kids 2 flashed across my mind, and instead of hearing the words as they were said in the movie, I heard them differently, and laughter ensued.

Carmen instinctively glanced at her wrist for the fifth time in the last ten minutes, only to realize once more with a small groan that her watch had ceased to function. She longed to know what time it was, or at least how long it had been since she and Juni had fallen into the seemingly never-ending volcano. Thought after puzzling thought raced through her tired brain. Why were they falling down such a long volcano? Why didn't any of their electronics work? Why did everyone insist on questioning the chicken's motives as to why he crossed the street?
Carmen absentmindedly peered over at Juni, who was busying himself by twirling through the air as though he were imitating a ballet dancer. "Juni," she said. Juni stopped his spinning and turned to face Carmen, a slight red streak painting the area under his eyes. "Yeah?" Juni inquired. The words spilled over Carmen's lips before she had any time to realize what exactly she had said. "How long have we been farting?"
The effect of her miswording was instantaneous. Juni let out a roar of laughter and began spinning wildly out of control. It was at that moment that Carmen realized that she did not say what she had meant. "Now I know how you failed third grade English," Juni laughed.
Carmen chuckled slightly but stopped after a few seconds. "That's not really what I meant to say, Juni," she said, unsuccessfully attempting to hide her own amusement. "Well, what did you mean to say?"
"How long have we been falling?" Carmen's words were more strained than the first question. Juni raised his watch up to his face with a slight sarcastic smirk on his face. "I dunno. My watch doesn't tell time," he said flatly. Carmen frowned.
"Best guess," she said. "I'd say about three hours," said Juni unenthusiastically. Carmen's frown became even more defined as she felt a slight rumble in her stomach. "Feels like four," she sighed.
She was starting to miss her computer back at home.

A/N: I know, I know....this is not my best work at all, but I have to say it is the most swiftly written and by far the most random. Review, people, please review. I've had to resort to acquiring the opinions of random family members and people that just don't give a crap. Anyways, have a nice and antagonism-free day or night or whatever time it is.
