Alice walked faster.

There was a distant screeching from her house, and she was an unhappy 12 yards away from it.

That wasent good enough.

She started to jog.

Alice just had to piss her step-mother off. Of course she did, and to that,she grinned in silent humor.

She had no other option.

Though, she did feel guilty for leaving her father to take the beating. Oh well. She was almost to the hospital.

The only thing Alice remotely liked about the tiny ass town was that she lived close to the hospital. It was always close at hand.

Hell, she was there so much, she knew just about everyone there. Even the patiants.

Walking up to the desk, She waited for someone to take notice of her.

"Hello?" Nancee popped in behind the oak desk. "Well, well, well...Alice in wonderland."

Nancee put her hands on her flabby hips. Alice took note, kill the fat lady.

"Its A-L-I-C-E Nancee. No wonderland included." Alice could play smart-ass too, it was her job really. "Go on, get!"

Nancee swatted her clipboard at her like a small, unworthy fly.

"Well it's about time!" Alice gave Nancee a victory glace before taking flight down the hall.

Takeing a split turn into a room, she called out, "Ello? Shit-for-brains? You here?" She always played with him before playing nice.

"Yeah, Im here you bratt."

Walking over to the voice, she stared at her older brother, smirking. Like a fly to a spiders web. Too easy.

"Any luck at pulling out any tubes?" She asked, pokeing anear by tube that lead to his mouth. "Nope. They watch me too closely."

He muffled out. "James George Zoo, havent I taught you anything?"

"Well Alice Wells Zoo, it was I that tought you your nasty tricks in the first place." James smirked at his little sister.

"Yeah, right. Then why are you the one in the hospital with cancer, and me going wild in the town?" Alice shot the smirk back.

Jame's smirk turned into a depressed frown. "I don't know." A blank look crossed his pale face.

"Hey, bug dont even know what type of cancer you got!"Alice grinned sheeply.

"Your an asshole of a little sister you know that?" James laughed at her.

He suddently went into a coughing fit, his bed and body shaking violently. A chubby nurse with red hair rushed into the room.

"Alice, you troblesome las, what did you do now?!" The nusre all but screamed. "I didnt do shit Ruby you fat ass!" Alice raged back.

Ruby turned and glared at Alice before turning her attention back to James. "Why don't you go back to your mother? All your doing here is making him even worse then he is you brat."

Ruby mumbled loudly enough for Alice to get the picture.

"Fine." Alice stuck her tongue at Rudy before running out of the room and down the hall, her long black hair straping at her eyes and cheeks.

"Stupid bitch, hope a shark gets her." Alice grinned at the thought.

After all, reports of over eighteen fatel tiger shark attacks had the beaches closed, and the town pale and bleached. HAHA.

Alice sighed.

She had not the slightest clue where she was going. Not that it mattered, the town was so small, you could NEVER get lost.

Or kidnapped for that matter, where would they go? To thier house? Basement? HELL NO.

All the houses would be searched and torn apart in minutes. She truly, really did hate this town.
