Danny Phantom: The Sincerest Form of Flattery
by Futuramakid
DISCLAIMER: I OWN NOTHING. Except Danny Masters. He's mine.
6 long months had passed since the asteroid incident. Much had happened for the once-affluent Vlad Masters. In that time, he'd managed to land in Mexico, get a back-alley cosmetic surgery, so that he was unrecognizable, come back over the border with false papers, get a portion of his investments through a Swiss bank account, and set up a new base of operations in the middle of a desert of West Texas. He'd immediately restarted the cloning program once he'd paid off the base. Vlad grinned smugly, watching the cloning tube. He couldn't believe he hadn't thought of it earlier. He had simply replaced the missing morph genes with those of himself. This meant the clone not only had stability, but Danny's agility and his own cunning. He noticed brain activity on the monitor consistent with REM sleep, despite the lack of knowledge transfer, yet.
"I wonder what something with no past, no present, no identity, dreams about?" Vlad mused, observing the fluke. He went on as scheduled. Little did he know, he was dabbling in things best left undisturbed...
Later...
A raven-haired girl with purple eyes stood on a tightrope, staring at him. She fell from a rope he had cut. A dark-haired teen, with a grey streak at his temples, tossed in the bed. He awoke with a start. He was breathing heavily. Who was she? And how did he know her?
He jolted forwards. He was
in a bed, he looked to the door. A man was waiting- A grey-haired
man, with a prominent chin, a crooked nose, and turquoise eyes. Vlad
Masters.
"...where am I?" the teen asked.
"All will be
revealed, little badger," the man replied, grinning, "but as for
now, you must be positively ravenous. I'll explain over breakfast."
Later still...
Daniel Masters and Vlad sat across from each other at a table.
"...so... you... made me,
Father?" he asked, for confirmation.
"Indeed, Daniel," Vlad
replied, "I made you. As well as a... failed attempt I'd like your
help capturing."
Daniel raised a brow.
"Failed attempt?"
Daniel asked.
"She was... unstable, and
deluded," Vlad explained, "and now the poor thing's out there on
her own. On the run from me, CPS, and the Guys in White. I've been
tracking her, to attempt a capture so I can help her"
"...I
see," Daniel replied, "I won't fail you, Dad."
"That's my
boy!" Vlad said, with a lopsided grin.
Surely, this was his perfect son.
