I am deep in the woods and can hear rubble under hoofs; I fling an arrow and it hits the eye of a deer.

"Nice shot," says Zane looking not at all surprised, "right in the eye, say, how did you learn how to shoot like that V?" V was his nickname for me; short for Victoria.

"My father taught me before he died in the fire," I say while I try to hold back the tears.

"My game bag is about full so I'm gonna head back, see ya," he kisses me on the forehead, then leaves. Me and Zane have been together for about a year now. Right now he works in the Bakery with his father, next year he is working in the mines. I'm always afraid I'm going to lose him like I lost my dad.

I'm back at the seam walking to the hob, when I run into Zane, he has a worried look on his face, "what's wrong?"

"It's you sister," Zane says while taking my hand walking towards my house. My sister Rose, short for Primrose, is lying in her bed with her silvery blue eyes wide open staring at me.

"Rose, are you o.k.," I ask while reaching out a hand to her. Zane grabs it and pulls it back then shows me his scratched and bruised hand.

"We don't know what happened but we know for sure to stay at a distance, we think she may have gone insane or something from your fathers lost."
