10 Drabbles
#1: Actuality
Ino would never openly admit it but the only reason that she had the courage to leave her body when she used her family's signature jutsu was because she knew who held her in there arms.
#2: Jealousy
Shikamaru will never forget the first time he got jealous. Ino had been daydreaming when they were Gennin and had inadvertently whispered "Sasuke".
#3: Make Up
Shikamaru often told Ino that she didn't need makeup to look beautiful as she had natural beauty. Ino replied that he wore makeup just as much as she did however he covered his emotions while she just covered uneven skin.
#4: Winning
Everybody in Konoha knew how hard headed Ino was, so when one day Ino backed down right away from a fight with Shikamaru he asked her why. She replied that she wouldn't waste her energy when she knew he would win, he always won.
#5: Troublesome More Like Worrysome
Shikamaru often contemplated that Ino was the most troublesome woman he knew. Never in his life would he have thought that he would worry about her this much since he knew she could take care of herself. However when her ANBU team came back broken and bloody with an unconscious blonde kunoichi he felt his heart drop. To this day when in her presence he replaces his favorite phrase with "Your so worrysome".
#6: Conscience
Ino would often wake up silently crying, the people that she had killed playing on her mind. On those nights she would turn and see a peacefully sleeping Shikamaru and immediately she felt warmth radiate in her heart and then on those nights she would be able to smile.
#7: Paths
Shikamaru and Ino were walking down a flower path when Ino turned to him "Do you ever wish that you never became a ninja?" she asked briefly looking away. Shikamaru was quiet for a minute before replying "No, even though the missions are tough and my life is in danger everyday I would never change it" he finished his voice quieting. Ino turned to him her golden hair shining in the sunlight "Why?" she asked shielding her face from the sun. "Because if I never became a ninja then I would never have met you".
#8: Forget
On there wedding day the sun was shining and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. When the tell tale music started playing and the doors opened to reveal Ino as she walked down the aisle, his heart stopped. She was the most beautiful person he had ever seen and he was man enough to admit it. Everything was going perfect as he tried to keep his mind off the fact that she might die tomorrow, that was the life of a ninja. However just for today he would forget it.
#9: Autumn
Autumn was Shikamaru's least favorite season, everything was dying and there was always a still silence as you crunched on dead leaves. However when his daughter was born in September his depressing thoughts about autumn vanished, as it gradually turned into his favorite season.
#10: Scared
When one day Ino's daughter Chikane came up to her and asked to go to the academy she stopped cold. After recovering she looked at her daughter and forced a smile and faked a laugh, "Sure" she replied weakly. As Chikane went to go tell her friends Ino broke down and wept, she turned around quickly as she heard a noise. She was greeted with sea foam blue eyes mirroring hers. "Now you know how I felt" her father said as he bent down to comfort his only daughter.
This one I am really proud of :) I had a very slow few weeks where I just didn't write because I had no idea's yesterday changed that. I posted one other one-shots yesterday called "Irony In Mourning"and out of the two of them I think that this one turned out better. So thank you everyone and I hope that you enjoyed it :)
