Disclaimer: This is totally pointless, but you gotta do what cha gotta do. I DO NOT, NOR WILL I EVER, OWN HARRY POTTER. Thank you and goodnight.

A/n: Sorry for it's shortness! When I'm high on sugar, I tend to write pointless, short, stories. ENJOY!!

The early morning Sun poked its golden rays of shine through Cedric's four poster bed's curtains, causing me to awake.

I opened my eyes to a blurry rainbow of all the colors that filled Cedric's room. I reach for my glasses on the table beside me. Placing them on my face, my world becomes clearer, as the once blurred colors become objects.

I roll on my back and stare at the ceiling. I glance at Cedric, sleeping on his stomach, snoring softly. His usually perfect hair was uncharacteristically disheveled. He looked cute.

His eye lids fluttered open and two grey eyes stared at my face.

I smiled sweetly at him, and he smiled back. He too, rolled onto his back.

"So, today's the day" he stated, pessimistic attitude making his words seem like a prophecy of destruction.

I groaned. I had forgotten about the third task. I didn't want to go. If it was anything like the other tasks, I knew that either me or Cedric would be heartbroken by the day's end. I was terrified. Losing Cedric was worse than losing my own life.

Cedric turned his head toward me. Noticing my downtrodden expression, he brought my head up to meet his eyes.

"We will get through this"

That one, simple statement lit a torch of hope inside my chest, however dim it was.

He kissed me softly on my forehead.

Cedric got up and proceeded to get ready to head down to the last task.

I followed suit soon after.

We walked down the hall together, arm and arm, supporting each other in our time of need.

All the way through the castle, toward the screaming fans outside the third task, I held onto that dim torch, praying to any merciful gods that existed in the heavens that everything would be all right.

REVIEWS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED AND EVEN A FLAME OR 20 IS GREAT FOR ENTERTAINMENT!!
