Few more months later after the incident, another newcomer named Sakuraya showed up and Delic has taken a slight interest in him. However, things went awry when Shitsuo starts to take a liking to him as well. Based on a kink prompt.

Emphatically

Everything was perfect back then. Although things around him seemed to be falling apart, it didn't matter as long as he had his prince. It was that very moment when he felt content with what he had.

It had been an year ago, around Christmas eve when he first set his gaze upon the prince. An year ago when his heart had skipped a beat for once in a long time at the breathtaking scene before him. To him, he could only think that this might as well be the best Christmas gift after his long years of yearning after a certain magenta-eyed raven. By then, he learned that it was what humans called: a concept of 'love at first sight'.

For the first few days, Delic had done everything he could to gain the prince's attention, but most of the time he winded up with a slap on face and a "Do not touch me, peasant!". Therefore, it was safe to say that his attempts often went flushed down the toilet. Yet he still considered it a success since he managed to get his Chibiya have his face darkened in a shade of cherry red.

Before one would even know, they unexpectedly became an item.

To him, everything was perfect by then. Yes, everything was; and Delic could not ask for more as he felt perfectly content with everything, but it isn't until now when a negative emotion over-washed him— a doubt began to linger in the back of his mind when he saw those caramel, golden eyes flickered with interest.

"Shitsuo, why don't you come out and introduce yourself?"

With his gaze torn away, he quietly watched as a man bowed before them. Despite a proper suit— a tuxedo– worn as his attire, and eyes radiating in a purple shade, this man named Shitsuo was simply another clone. Another lookalike of Heiwajima Shizuo. What Izaya's intentions of creating their lookalikes remained unknown, but Delic could care less. The only thing that concerns him now was the look in Hibiya's eyes.

He did not know why but the more he kept exchanging glances between his lover and the newcomer, the more this envy ate away his heart.

This look that his prince gave this butler.

Delic had never seen it before, and most definitely had he never received it.

"My name is Shitsuo. I will be looking forward in getting to know you all." Shitsuo introduced himself without a stagger in his words.

The host came to a conclusion. He didn't like this newcomer at all.

Not so long after the introduction, everyone began to leave all but two, snaking an arm around the prince's waist, he then pulled him in closer to his warmth, the bridge of his nose pressed against his neck. Before things could get far however, he was responded by an elbow dug into his stomach, a small oof! came out as he instantly released the latter, a hand clutched onto his stomach as he merely grinned.

"Do not touch me, you cur!"

Hibiya scowled at him, the look in his eyes from before had vanished but replaced with a look he knew all too well. It was the look that showed disgust and anger. Delic bitterly smiled upon seeing this. With a sway of the prince's cape and small SWISH! he was left all alone.

Truth to be told, they weren't the sweetest couple. They often argued, had misunderstanding and Hibiya was usually the one tp disappear after one of their heated arguments; and the amount of times where sweet words shared between them were almost belittled to nothing. Not to mention that it was almost every time when they did not agree with each other when it comes to specific things. Whilst Delic preferred an upbeat music, Hibiya on the other hand preferred a smooth one. They were complete opposites. There was no doubt about this. Then again, opposites do attract. Do they, really? Delic questioned himself inwardly.

Once the host came out of his small trance, it was then he noticed that the prince was nowhere to be seen.

He sighed. Looks like he'll have to set out a search for him immediately.

...

It had been another night, and the two somehow managed to make it up. Of course, not by words but entangling their bodies in the heat of lovemaking.

Delic woke up to a sound of sheets rustling, his head snapped up to see the prince sitting at the edge of the bed. He smiled softly to himself, the afterglow from last night still affected him. Rolling over, he neared the prince from behind, both arms snaked around his body to pull him in. "Merry Christmas." He drawled, reaching up to place butterfly kisses on his lover's neck; satisfactory washed over him when a small moan came from the other.

With a smirk, he moved his hand down but was stopped when another hand held him in place. "Delic." Hibiya suddenly called out, its grievous tone suddenly snatching away the host's attention. Delic frowned upon hearing this.

While it's true that the prince was serious most of the time, it was rare for the prince to sound as serious as this. The grip was released and Delic pulled his hand back, the mattress sunk as his weight plunked against it. He watched as Hibiya bit his lips, sighing for once before looking up at him into his eyes.

"I think it's best for us to separate."

"... Sorry? Can you repeat that?"

Separate? Did the prince ask them to break up? Had his ears deceived him? Perhaps they have, perhaps they have not. Nonetheless, the thought was rather endearing. Delic blinked, his chest began to ache once Hibiya repeated what he had said.

"It's best for us to separate."

"Chibiya, are you telling me that you want us to break up?"

"Well, if that is what you call it, then yes."

Delic bitterly laughed upon hearing this. No, his ears did not deceive him at all. Hibiya wanted them to break up. Questions endlessly ran throughout Delic's mind, and the only thing he could think of was- why? What was it that made Hibiya wanted them to break up?

"Chibiya... you aren't serious, are you?"

This must be a nightmare. It has to be one. Delic sat up, ignoring the dull pain kneeing at his chest as Hibiya turned to him with a red face. What the prince said next did not come expected, but it made him flinched, the sudden ferocity in his words was like a slap to reality.

"This is the problem here! You never take me seriously! What am I to you?! A joke?! Don't think that I do not know of your lust for my body. That is all you wanted, isn't it?! You just wanted my body, right?!"

Delic froze, his eyes widened at what Hibiya said.

So, that was it.

That was the reason.

Hibiya thought that Delic was using him only for his body. Hibiya thought that Delic never did love him in the first place.

The ache in his chest grew when the next words were said.

"Forget it, if you are not going to have us break up then I will break up with you. At least, I will know that Shitsuo would be far better than you."

He should have seen it coming. He should have seen the warning signs. But it was because of his carelessness, his perfect days has come to an end.

The best thing that ever happened to him— was about to leave him.

All because of him.

Then the prince went off, gathering all his pieces of clothes. But the host made no effort to stop him. Not even a bit for he was too caught up in his trance and was left completely speechless. Thus the only thing he could do in the end was watch as Hibiya leave him.

Little did the prince know that he had left him with a heart completely shattered to pieces.

Little did the prince know that he meant more than what he thought he was to the host.

Little did the prince know that he had taken a large piece of the host along with him.

Tears were threatening to be spilled from his eyes. The water blurred his vision for a moment when the prince started to walk away, not sparing one glance at him. He wanted to reach out for him, he wanted to take him into his loving arms and– and– and what?

Tell him that he has gotten it all wrong?

Tell him that he does love him?

But alas, he could not. The prince is now far from his reach; and when he finally gave a blink, the prince is now gone. A slice of his life had disappeared from his sight. And at that very same moment, death seemed like a great option to end his misery as he plumped back against the soft mattress

No words had to be spoken, and this was the mark to the end of his perfect days with a tear rolling down the host's cheek.
