This story is dedicated to my best friend, Aliqueen16.
We met in February of 2016, and have been inseparable since.
We've done so many collaborations, we've always been there for each other when the going got tough, and I think of you more as a sister now then a friend.
I know I said a couple days ago I didn't know how to thank you for everything you've ever done for me, but maybe this story will work. ;)
And now, on with the story!
"Oliver, are you SURE this is the best idea?" My girlfriend asked for the 1 millionth time as we approached the Centium City Ice Skating Rink.
"We save the world all the time, Sky. I think we can handle a little ice, and I've ice skated before."
"You've played Ice Football, fell in the lake and had to be flown to the hospital." Skylar responded, making me scoff.
"That's only happened once. No one is gonna get hurt, if anything, one of us will fall on our butt and the other will have to hold their hands as they get back up, and the holding hands is something I can get down with."
Skylar rolled her eyes in response as I held the door open for her.
After quickly getting our skates, I slowly got onto the ice, forgetting for a split second how to control the blades attached to my feet before my brain was quickly refilled with the knowledge as I turned, helping Skylar get on and quickly helping her balance.
"There you go." I smiled as I slowly lead her to the bar aligning the rink, taking my hands off hers, before backing away.
"What now?" She asked, looking down at the skates before looking back up at me.
"Well, push off the railing. Move your feet back and forth to move forward, and bend them into a triangle to stop. I'll be right here, Sky."
She nodded as she pushed off, falling into my arms.
"You OK?" I asked her, helping her up.
"Yeah, except I suck." She groaned. "Can we just go home?"
"Sky, try again, OK? I've never seen you give up and I don't want to now."
"OK..." She sighed, slowly coming towards me before her foot flew out from under her and she landed on her back, making a loud "thud" noise as I came towards her.
"You OK?"
"Just help me up." She begged, tears in her eyes as I reached my hand down, grabbing hers before pulling her back up. "Now can we go home?"
"Let's go." I told her as I felt my skate go out from under me and hearing screams before I blacked out.
"-iver? Can you hear me?" A muffled voice asked.
I opened my eyes for a split second and all I saw was light, making me shut them.
"Oliver?" The voice asked, clearer now that I recognized as Skylar and opened my eyes again, squinting.
"Oh, thank god."
"What happened?" I rasped, now fully focused on her.
"You got hurt on the ice skating rink. I told you it wasn't a good idea." She complained as I sat up, pressing my lips on hers.
"Hey, I spent time with my one and only, and that's all I could ask for."
