I'm doing a next generation roleplay (anotherwarbegins . weebly .com), and I applied for Luna, and in order to get into character, I wrote this. It's based on some of my own ideas, like fanfiction should. Disclaimer- I don't own Harry Potter, or any characters mentioned in this story.
Luna has always been odd, and for the first nine years of her life, her mother was around to be weird with her. After her mother died though, she slipped into a world of fantasy, trying to rid herself of the feeling of sadness and depression that came with the death of her mother. Her father had no choice but play along, and after awhile, the truth welded with their fantasy, and it became their lives.
Her being different though prevented her from making friends in school, and she tended to get picked on. Up until her fourth year, she had had no friends, but that changed when Harry Potter started the DA. She had a few friends she could count on, and that was all that mattered to her. Slowly but surely the hidden depression that surrounded her loneliness started to be replaced by happiness and hope. After the war, she was eventually able to escape her delusion, and returned to the world she hadn't completely been in for several years.
Everything changed after that. She became a world renowned magizoologist, a profession that isn't well known, but is highly dangerous to those who work in the field. That's where she met Rolf Scamander, the grandson of Newt Scamander. For a while he was everything to her. Even though they hadn't known each other for as long as so many others, they got married after three years of dating. Luna had felt it was too rushed, but she knew that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.
The only thing that meant more to Luna than her friends and Rolf were her twin boys that were born a year later. Lysander and Lorcan. It was as if she were the moon and they were the stars lighting her up for the world to see. That was then she realized that she had everything she could ever wish for.
So I wrote another short one-shot. I like how a lot of it turned out, but not so much other parts. There is no room to continue this, so I won't.
