AN: So I was clearing out one of my external hard drives and found this Lament that I wrote four years ago for my Tolkien class while studying the Rohirrim culture. I know that it is likely that Faramir died first, but since there is no record of Eowyn's death, and it fit nicely for my paper, I took creative license. But anyway, I thought it would be fun to throw up here.

Disclaimer: I wish I was brilliant enough to own LotR and everything in it.

Faramir crashed down on his knees beside the grave of his wife. His son stood at a distance behind him. He plucked a tiny white flower in front of him and twirled it between his fingers as tears rained from his eyes onto the new grave. He bowed his head as he whispered out

"Once a frosted Simbelmynë, my lady, she mourned her forefathers' graves.
My Simbelmynë, her eternal beauty, my heart still craves.

Once a dying Simbelmynë, my lady, the darkness consumed her mind.

My Simbelmynë, her shadows departed when my sun shined.

Once a wilting Simbelmynë, the Witch-King she battled, begging for death.

My Simbelmynë, she loved and nurtured, 'til her final breath.

Where now is my Simbelmynë, my lady, where now is my path from here?

What do I do Simbelmynë, the love of my life? My future's unclear."

AN: I hope you liked it. Review please.
