This is what I think should happen in the next book- enjoy!

Percy- they are falling farther and farther into Tartarus. that's when the pain hit. It's a searing pain from his ankle to his thigh, but he cant think about that now when Anabeth is to his side screaming in pain.

"Anabeth its Percy don't move your ankle it's… it's bent"

Panicking Percy looked around in the dim light for anything he could use. That is when he saw Anabeth's backpack and knife. Quickly he searched for ambrosia, with ease he found some and popped it in her mouth.

"I wasn't expecting a second guest"

Percy looked around searching for the voice. When she spoke again, Percy ripped out riptide giving a little more glow to the room. Just enough to see the women

"Arachne" Anabeth said still in pain.

"Anabeth the string" Percy tossed the knife to Anabeth and she cut it off with quick hands, to quick for Arachne to act.

"You are a tricky girl Anabeth it is a wonder why your mother, Athena, picked you. You shouldn't have brought him down here now the both of you will die."

"How are you supposed to die when you are already in tartarus…" Anabeth began.

"Why child you bring up a good question; but you see you will not die her. You are the perfect sacrifices for Gaea, just the ones she wanted actually."

"Cant we just skip the whole sacrifice thing and just kill each other and be done with it" Percy said'

"You insolent boy I must capture you, have you not been listening.'

"Listening is not really my thing"

"So I see"

Percy twiddled with his sword thinking of what to do. They couldn't kill her so that was out of the question. Maybe they could by them sometime, so they could run away in search of the exit. Percy decided to test it.

He tried to stand up once only to fall back down, his pain leg was still in pain. Trying again but this time a little slower. Anabeth tossed him ambrosia which he put in his mouth and ate it. He could feel it working right away. The pain subsided enough to walk with a limp. Arachne stood with her eight legs ready to jump him, so it seemed.

Percy acted quick with riptide at his side, Arachne jumped and percy grabbed tighter around the sword slicing one of Arachne's legs off. Then he rolled to his left scraping his right shoulder. Quickly he stood facing Arachne once again, she spot out a web toward Percy's hand with riptide. With no difficulty Percy dodged it jumping higher than he thought he could; bringing riptide through Arachne's giant heart. Instantly Arachne fell to dust.

Percy picked Anabeth up and ran until he could no longer run dropping to his knees he put Anabeth down. He lay softly down next to her. The last thing he could remember was Anabeth giving him a kiss on the forehead saying…

"Thank you Seaweed Brain"
