One day, Alvin was riding his bike and stopped at a gas station near a tunnel. He had to find some flowers and he had to find them now! That was because it was Brittany's birthday and her party was in a few hours. His plan was to pick one, then, head off to buy fancy shoes for her. He had just picked the flower when something bit his tail! "Ouch!" screamed Alvin as he ran away, leaving his bike and the flower behind. Alvin raced back to the tree dome rubbing his tail and wincing. "I can't let Brittany see me like this," he said. "She'll think I'm weird. "Who'll think you're weird?" asked a voice. Alvin screamed and turned around, trying to hide his tail. Theodore stood at the door. "Oh, it's just you, Theo," said Alvin. Theodore was confused. "Okay, so here's the thing. My tail was bitten and if Brittany finds out, she'll think I'm weird." Theodore winced. "Oh, no! Are you okay?" he asked. "I already told you, Theodore, no!" said Alvin. "You've got to help me!"
"Okay," said Theodore. "I've got just the thing." He led Alvin all the way down to the gas station and Alvin saw something green and scaly. "An alligator!?" he cried in disbelief. "An alligator bit my tail!?" He saw the bike and the flower both crushed. "Well, there goes my plan," sighed Alvin. "Cheer up, Alvin," said Theodore. "I found something that can make your tail feel better." Alvin went over to some sheep and found some discarded wool on the ground. "Sheep's wool?" he scoffed. "You've got to be kidding me."
"I'm not," replied Theodore. "Come sit with me." Alvin whimpered and shifted his eyes nervously. Reluctantly, he slowly stepped into the circle of sheep towards the smiling Theodore and sat next to him. Suddenly, Alvin began to smile! His tail was feeling better. "Theo! You saved my tail! Literally," Alvin said, laughing as he waved his tail. It didn't hurt at all. Theodore smiled. "It's my pleasure," he said humbly. Alvin looked in the horizon and frowned. His gift to Brittany had been crushed and he had no time left to buy her the shoes he wanted. Luckily, Theodore had another idea. "Alvin, why don't we make a pillow for Brittany out of this wool?"
"Theodore, that's a great idea," said Alvin. And so, together, they made a sheep's wool pillow, washed it very carefully and pressed it just for Brittany. It was perfect. By nightfall, all the Chipmunks and all the Chipettes were gathered at the table to celebrate Brittany's birthday. There were lots of pink balloons and decorations everywhere with a smiling Brittany in the middle. "And Brittany, I want you to have this fairytale book," said Simon, handing her a sparkling pink book. "Oh, it's beautiful," said Brittany. "Thanks, you guys."
"Wait!" cried Alvin. "I have something for you." As he handed her the wool pillow, Brittany arched an eyebrow. "I, uh, I just came up with it last minute. Do you like it?" he asked with a nervous chuckle. "No," stated Brittany, flatly. "Aw," cried the others. But then, Brittany's eyes began to sparkle and she smiled very wide. "I LOVE IT! Thank you, Alvin! It's the best gift I've ever recieved!" said Brittany as she kissed Alvin all over. Alvin sighed with relief as the others laughed. "You all are the best gift I've ever had," said Brittany, hugging the others. Brittany felt her lip start to quiver. "Guys... I-I'm so happy," she said. "I can hardly contain myself." Everyone gave a nice happy sigh and Alvin blushed as he looked at the bandage wrapped around his tail.
And so, Brittany had the best birthday ever and they all lived happily ever after.
The End.
