155 Words - Yearning
I watch as he sits there staring at your desk, looking so lost and alone. Then suddenly he just seemed to have the answer to our problem. He tried to pass it off as an insight into our suspect's mind, but he gave it all away with that one word - yearning. And that is when I knew I had lost. As much as I might want him to notice me, he never will. I tried to assist him on his quest, but it's your insight he desires. I try to invade his presence with mine, but you are the one he sees. He might tolerate me, but it's you he yearns for. What is it about you that makes him feel this way? How did you come to have so much influence over such powerful man? You are all the things to him I long to be - his partner, his friend, his love, his Eames.
Author's Note: Most people (at least Bobby/Alex shippers) focus on Bobby's actions in FPS, but for some reason I noticed Bishop's actions and reactions during the episode. She is clearly trying to get Bobby's attention. She leans into his personal space. She desperately tries to follow his train of thought right before the paper throwing incident. Then at the end of the episode, she looks almost devastated when Bobby gets the text from Alex. You can almost hear her heart break when she tells Bobby to call his partner. Anyway, watching her prompted me to write a 155 Word exercise on her thoughts. I hope you like it. Please review and let me know!!
