Waking up to the cat purring in my ear, the realisation of what today was dawned on me. Today the WWE UK Tour came to my home town of Birmingham and I wasn't going to be there, simply to the lack of funds I had. It literally pained me to know that I was missing this chance, a chance that only comes around twice a year. Today was not going to be a good day, surely?

After getting up and showered, I was ready to meet my best friend Shaun at lunchtime. We had decided we was going to have a game of football in the park and half way into the game, the teasing of what I was missing tonight started.

"Isn't tonight when the wrestling is in town? What time have you gotta leave you house tonight?" he queried, knowing full well that I would not be going.

"Let me think, I'll leave about erm never?" came my sarcastic reply.

At that time I knocked the ball past him, causing him to pull me back. However, I sensed the pull back and swung him round, wrapping my hands round his torso and pulling off a perfect german suplex.

"Oh shit, what the hell was that?" He said as he slowly got back up.

"That was a german suplex my friend, and there's plenty more to come if you test me" I joked.

A full blown grappling match ensued which I came out on top after a quick DDT and then locking in a Figure Four Leglock. However, we were then interrupted by a loud shot of "HEY" coming from the distance. I quickly spun round, letting go of the hold, expecting to see a angry gardener or something but, to my surprise and curiosity, there was stretch limo parked up with the back window rolled down. In the window, there was a man from which the shout came from who quickly beckoned us over.

Cautiously going over, I noticed that the limo had foreign number plates and that the man was obviously a businessman as he had a very posh suit on.

"There's someone who would like a word with you" came the next shout from the man

After that, the car door opened giving me the shock of my life. The first bloke came out, quickly followed by the Chairman of the WWE himself, Vincent Kennedy McMahon. I couldn't believe my eyes, and my facial expression obviously gave it away.

"I'm guessing you know who I am?"

"Know who you are? Your Vince McMahon, the head of greatest wrestling commodity in the world. Your the man who changed wrestling and made it what it is today!"

"Well thanks for that character reference, but I'd like to talk about you. You see, we were stuck in traffic and I happened to catch your german suplex so I decided to watch a little, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. You have talent, and I'd like to know how you use that talent. I'd like you to come down tonight and work a tryout match.

"Your joking right?

"I don't joke, may I have a phone number to contact you on and sort out details?"

At this point, my mind was saying give the number but my body was froze in shock. I've never properly wrestled in my life, yet here I was being offered a tryout match with the WWE. It was too good to be true. Fortunately, sensing my shock, my best friend took over, handing over the details.

"Well thank you, and one last thing, may I ask your name? Said the chairman of the board.

"Er, Kyle. Kyle Dixon" was my reply.

"Dixon. I like that. Well we will be in contact over the next few hours but we've got to be on our way, Goodbye" and with that the car sped away leaving us on the edge of the road completely in shock.

"What the hell just happened?" I asked.

"Your life just turned upside down, my friend".

Today was not going to be a good day, or so I thought...
