Jade was furious with Robbie. He had yelled at and humiliated Cat essentially isolating and ignoring her for what seemed like hours. Jade was ready to punch Robbie's lights out for the way he treated Cat yesterday. Still Cat came into school the next day in a bright cheerful mood."Hi, hi," she said brightly."Hey Cat," Robbie said. Cat grinned at him."Cat," Jade said, "How can you be so cheerful after what happened yesterday. Also how can you be smiling at Robbie like that. I'm ready to punch his lights out for the way he treated you."Cat just laughed.

"Jade," she said, "Robbie apologized."

"I know but he was still so mean to you. I hate him-"

"Hating isn't good. Hating just makes you mad and being mad isn't healthy. You know what mad feels like."

"Yes I do," Jade said, "and I didn't go back to happy and cheerful after that for awhile"

"When were you ever happy and cheerful," Beck teased.

"I'll show you happy and cheerful," Jade said threateningly.

"That doesn't even make any sense," Beck replied

"I'll show you not make sense," Jade said threateningly.
Cat just laughed.

"Look," she said, "Being upset about something I can't change doesn't make much sense now does it."

"No I guess not but it's not okay for Robbie to treat you the way he did," Jade said.

"And I told him off about it."

"You told someone off," Jade asked proudly.

"Uh-huh. I told him that was he said was not nice and the way he acted wasn't nice and it hurt my feelings and I would appreciate it if he could be more sensitive in the future."

"That's not telling him off," Jade said.

"For me it is," Cat said
"Well... okay you have a point," Jade said, "But why did you let Robbie be rude to you"

"Um... I don't know," Cat said, "Why did you let Beck get mad at you a few months ago."

"Oh believe me," Jade said, "I told him off one side and on the other. Beck knew he was out of line and he didn't hesitate to apologize. I made him pay for his behavior."

"I don't think that's always so needed," Cat said, "He knew he was wrong. He apologized for what he did and for getting mad at me-"

"YOU GOT MAD AT HER," Jade exclaimed to Robbie, "DUDE!""I thought I was right at the time," Robbie said, "After all Beck got mad at you one time for being stupid"

"CAT IS NOT STUPID," Jade said yelling, "DO NOT CALL MY FRIEND STUPID EVER AGAIN AND IF YOU DO YOU'LL HAVE TO ANSWER TO ME!"
"Yes ma'am," Robbie said a little afraid

"GOOD," Jade said

"But Cat said Tori was acting weird," Robbie said."

"Have you met Vega," Jade commented, "It's her thing. She acts weird. It wasn't an insult. It was a statement of fact."

"Yeah Cat is never mean. She's too innocent to be mean. She's like a little girl," Tori said.

"What's that supposed to mean," Cat asked giggling.

"Cat it's a compliment. You're sweet. You're innocent and everyone loves you."

"Oh yay," Cat said cheerful once again.
