What If?

Elsa paced back and forth in the massive library, she had needed to be alone to think about how she was going to control it, the one thing that was holding her back from opening the gates and letting the people in. she had even closed out her sister nine years ago. To this day Anna roams the dark empty halls talking out loud to herself and sometimes she was found sitting silently by the fire place curled up with a book, filling her head with notions of falling in love and marriage. Elsa always watched silently from a distance staying hidden in the shadow. Anna no idea of the danger that her sister truly was, was only confused by how she had shut her out of her life nine years ago. All Anna can remember was the day that they had gone out to the frozen pond in the middle of the night and had quickly laced up there skates, she remembers the accident but somehow Elsa saw that it was her fault and had quickly shut her out only to keep Anna safe. The Power was strong and hard to control and each day it was getting stronger. Elsa new that she had to keep her hands covered and to stay as far away from her sister as she could. Three years ago they had lost their parents, Leaving Elsa and Anna behind. Elsa being the next in line for the throne, scared her so much she didn't know what to do, she was lost for words. The day of the funeral she watched from the balcony but didn't attend, freighted of what people would think if they discovered her secret

Today was going to be different for she had come of age which means she was going to be crowned Queen. Today the gates would be opened today was a celebration for her and yet she wasn't sure if she was really looking forward to it. But it had to be done. She took her gloves off and swirls of snow danced off the palm of her hand. She smiled feeling the confidence build up in her. She put her gloves back on and opened the doors and called out to the guards and servants to start opening the windows and doors. She gracefully started walking towards the entrance to the castle, and butterflies filled her stomach as she got closer to the excited crowd of the village people she closed her eyes and only thought of that day that Anna really had been hurt by her. What if they had just stayed in bed what if Anna hadn't known about her magic at the time, then her parents would not have gone to seek help and ended up shipwrecked and now a spirit to the sea. She would still be the loving caring sister that Anna had grown to love and care for, but now, she was cold hearted and only just wanted to be left alone with the power that was the beast inside. She would rather rule Allendale from the mountains where the rage of her power could be free and she could be in control and not bottle the magic up any more. She had a plan and only hoped that her plan would work. Sunlight hit the snow white hair a pale skin of Elsa as she stepped out onto the terrace of the castle and overlooked the people that were applauding her. Anna quickly but gracefully appeared next to her. Little did Anna know that Elsa was planning on escaping for good.
