This is so stupid! Emma thought as she crept down the stairs in the loft. I'm twenty nine, almost thirty, years old. I shouldn't have to run to my parents about a nightmare. In all honesty, Emma just wanted to make sure they were okay. Her nightmare had consisted of Regina and George having her watch as they killed Snow and Charming. Snow was at a teacher's convention and she wasn't going to call her at three in the morning. She looked inside the bedroom and saw Charming lying on his side, sleeping. Unconvinced, Emma slowly made her way into the room and carefully watched his chest. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the steady rise and fall. Having the feeling of being watched, Charming's eyes opened. u jumped a little bit.

"Emma?" He reached over and turned on the bedside lamp. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just, um, I had a nightmare and I, um, never mind."

"No, what was it about?" He asked sitting up. Emma sat on the bed and didn't look at him.

"I was in this room; it looked like it could have part of the castle. Anyway, I was chained to the wall facing- facing you and Mom. Then, Regina and George walked in. They both had something in their hands but I couldn't see what it was. They walked in front of you two then turned to me." Emma looked up to push the tears back into her eyes. "They said, now you'll be an orphan for real and forever. They turned back to you and Mom and- and stabbed you both until you both fell limp in the chains." Emma covered her mouth as she finally lost the fight with her sobs. Charming wasted no time and pulled her into his arms. "I just need to make sure you were okay. Mom is away and I couldn't call her at three in the morning I needed make sure my dad was okay." Charming rubbed her back and gently rocked her. "I know, it's stupid."

"No, I don't think it's stupid. I think that for twenty-eight years you were an orphan and now that you have parents you want to make sure you never lose them." Emma curled closer to him and arms her arms around his middle. He kissed her head and mentally beamed when she didn't pull away. After a while, he looked down and saw she had fallen asleep. Too tired to get up himself, he turned off the light and lay back down with her in his arms. He felt her curl herself more into him and he held her tighter. He knew she would act as if it never happened in the morning but right now he was going to hold his little girl like he always dreamed about. He placed one more kiss to her head before resting his head on hers and falling into a deep sleep. On his way out of consciousness he swore and will continue to swear until the day he dies he heard her mumble something in her sleep.

"Daddy."
