Author's Note: It's Book 6's fault. I re-read it. And her I am now. Go blame that book if you want. Meanwhile, kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~ Book 10 3 Even better, it involved Japan! Well, ... Japan in a RA sense.

Disclaimer: I do not own anything. I wish. This series is too good to be completed. I almost died when it said "The Final Battle" on the cover of Book 10.

Summary: Deep down, they had both known it. It was just a matter of putting it in words and saying it out loud. Will x Alyss Drabble

Always Been

They had always been the best of friends, even at a young age, having been assigned in the same ward. They grew up together. And perhaps, they'd known it all along – that they did, in fact, love each other. Will trusted her with his secrets, Alyss, in turn entrusted him her life. Both might never have admitted it alone, but with Malcolm's "help", you might call it, they finally did. However helpful it might have been, it is debatable whether the lie itself should have been made. This small trick with the stone led to a near-death situation, but in the end, brought the two closer together than ever. Of course, Horace's encouragement played a significant part in this as well.

They had always been known as good friends by others as well. Horace was a great friend of Will's. But Will's relationship with Alyss could surpass that compact enforced by the battling they'd done as partners. Because, in a way, however different, Alyss was his partner too.

Obviously, I'm not one for writing RA fics, but I was bored. So I posted it. Review, please?
