Author's Note:

Okay, this is my first ever story, so I'm sorry if it's bland or lame in your guys' opinions. Please leave constructive criticism for me though, that will be extremely helpful! The idea behind this was sorta a Percabeth (they're my main ship) with a lil' spin on it, I guess :) be warned that there is girlxgirl mentioned though.

Oh, and please keep in mind, this "story" is meant to seem choppy, it's not supposed to flow as flawlessly as a normal story would.

It happened while Percy was missing, back when everyone had thought it was possible that he could be dead. That had been a long time ago, Annabeth mused as she layed on her soon-to-be husband's chest. But even so, she remembered it ever so vividly. Laying with Percy like this made her think back to when she had laid with another like this, and instead of one of Percy's old shirts she was in one of theirs. The only difference? Percy's shirt didn't have splatters of old paint all over it.

When Percy disappeared, Annabeth was torn up inside. She had just started to date him, and he gets taken away? There was no way that that could be fair. Rachel, however, was always there for Annabeth. She wanted to cheer the daughter of Athena up, because the Camp needed her to be on her best game and there was no chance in Hades that she could do that while moping around about her lost boyfriend.

Somehow, one thing led to another and Annabeth realized it was too late only when she was already kissing the other girl. In Rachel's room, the lights turned off for the night, sharing a bed. Their voices had barely been a whisper that night, and Rachel had lent Annabeth one of her old paint covered t shirts to sleep in. It never went beyond Annabeth sitting next to the red-head, clutching her pajama t shirt with one hand and her thick, unruly mane in the other. Rachel didn't fight back.

The morning after that, neither girl mentioned it. Annabeth went back to Camp to work on some lessons with a few younger campers, and Rachel went back to work on her art until she was to be needed at Camp to perform her duties as the Oracle. Their friendship never strayed after this instance, but the memory would forever live in Annabeth's head. Would Percy even count that as cheating on him? He had been gone, after all, plus it was Rachel.

Annabeth curled herself up more to Percy's side and lifted the collar of his t-shirt she was wearing to her nose. It smelled just like him, and nothing of the girl with the wild red hair, and suddenly she was back in reality. Percy was a part of her world she wasn't willing to give up, that's for sure. Besides, what he didn't know couldn't hurt him.
