Blaine groaned and flung a hand recklessly toward his alarm clock, effectively silencing it. His eyes drifted shut again for a few moments, until he suddenly sat up and glanced at his clock. Yep... March 15. Wow. One year with Kurt. There had been smiles, tears, songs, and a whole bunch of other random goop, and Blaine had adored every minute of it. Because Blaine adored Kurt. A dreamy grin appeared on his face. Neither he nor Kurt had pointed out that today was their anniversary for some reason, so they hadn't actually planned anything. Well, to Kurt's knowledge at least. However, Blaine had a few tricks up his sleeve.

After picking out a cheerful bow tie and capri pants for the occasion, eating a quick breakfast of toast and Lucky Charms (only spilling milk three times), and imprisoning his hair into its usual gel helmet, Blaine drove off to pick up Kurt.

Faint strains of "Baby It's Cold Outside" made their way into Kurt's dream (It had included a pet armadillo, Proactiv, and Blaine's hair), and he lazily opened his eyes, humming along to the familiar tune. His face lit up, remembering what day it was, and he jumped out of bed. He could barely believe it was a year with Blaine today. A whole year of love, laughter, and light. Sometimes it felt like it'd been a day, and sometimes it felt like eternity. Either way, Kurt couldn't wait to surprise his boyfriend tonight. He took special care with his moisturizing routine, since he wanted to look extra-fabulous today, and piled his hair on top of his head in a way that looked almost impossible, but amazing at the same time. After he was satisfied with his appearance, he headed toward the stairs, banging on Finn's door to wake him again. He rushed through breakfast, making small talk with Carol, and went to wait for Blaine.

Blaine pulled up in front of Kurt's house, stifling an excited giggle as Kurt, looking gorgeous as ever, came out. The curly-haired boy took a deep breath and attempted a natural look. Kurt opened the car door.

"Hey!" Blaine said, kissing his boyfriend lightly and smiling at him in a way that he hoped seemed normal.

"Hi. What are you so happy about?" Kurt asked nonchalantly, biting his cheeks to keep from grinning. Blaine looked away.

"I'm not. Why are you so happy?"

"You're the happy one!" Kurt argued.

"What are you talking about? I'm completely normal! Nothing's going on!" They just stared at each other for about a minute, before they simultaneously burst out laughing. They embraced each other, and Blaine murmured

"Happy anniversary."

"So what was your surprise plan?" Kurt asked bluntly. Blaine laughed nervously.

"What? I don't have one! I bet you do though." He said.

"Nope. Just a usual day for me." Kurt answered in the same fashion. Blaine raised his eyebrows at his boyfriend. And then Kurt doubled over in fits of giggles, followed by the other boy.

"I was going to take you-" Blaine began.

"I wanted to-" They both stopped.

"You know, it looks like whatever each of us planned isn't going to work." Kurt pointed out, a bit breathless from laughing.

"Want to just go see The Lorax instead?" Blaine asked. Kurt chuckled softly.

"Yeah, sure."

And as they snuggled up in the children's movie that night, they both decided it didn't matter what their plans had been. Blaine wasn't taking Kurt to see a touring production of Wicked. And they weren't going to have a moonlit picnic either. They were together, and they were in love. And somehow both boys knew that there would be many more anniversaries in the future to add to the odd, but perfect memory of this one.

So, yep! That's that! I don't think this is my best work, but it was fun to write! I just had to write something for the Klaineversary, since I only found out about Klaine Week on Monday. I'd love some reviews! Happy Klaineversary!
