Piano, Pans, and Beer

Birthday Update Fest – Number 12
Here is a little Germanic Nations' drabble that I wrote on a whim (another of my hour of 11 babies). Do enjoy.
Piano – it plays in the background, notes gentle and the style expressive, the very essence of life being told in the intricacies of the legato and staccato and rhythms. It's the constant background, the theme always there, hidden in the normal hustle-bustle of life around it.
Pans – they smash against stoves and counters and heads, providing a sort of drum-like quality to the theme of the piano. It's an unexpected cacophony of sound that draws attention away from the peaceful song that is everyday near-monotony.
Beer – it intoxicates the drinker, bringing them up to a point where they just must join in, letting a song loose where one wasn't before. It's a helper of the music that winds through the house as it builds up the voice into crescendos to match with those of the instrument.
… Gun – the shot that rings round, bringing all the merrymaking to an abrupt end. The pans stop banging, the voices stop wailing, the fingers stop calling forth melodies. For a while order descends.
But the instant Switzerland leaves the house for his own, chords are struck by Austria on the piano, beer is distributed between Germany and Prussia, their voices harmonizing once more, and the pan bangs down on Prussia's head as Hungary's part. And the Germanic music starts up again.
