AN: The group are roughly 17-years-old and Phineas and Isabella have been dating for over a year.
Adyson groaned as she tucked her pencil into her ponytail and picked up her test sheet to take to the teacher. She knew she wasn't the first person to finish, nor was she the last… thankfully. "Collect your bag and you may go." The teacher told her.
Adyson did just that.
A few minutes later, she saw a small group of her friends who finished before her. Gretchen, Baljeet and Ferb. "Hey guys." She greeted. Gretchen hardly acknowledged her, the girl had her nose in another text book. "Hello Adyson, did you do well on your test?" Baljeet inquired and the tall brunette shrugged. "I'll find out soon enough, I guess." She replied. Ferb just raised his hand in greeting.
Isabella sat twisting her hair around her finger. She noticed every time someone would stand up and take their test to the front of the class. I'm smart. Why can't I finish this test. She thought to herself, then glanced around and spotted him. Okay, I don't feel so bad. Phineas is still writing the exam. He's usually one of the first ones finished. I wonder if he's sick. I'll have to ask him. If he is, we won't be able to do anything until he's feeling better. Maybe if I can nurse him back to health… then I might get sick and we still won't be able to do anything.
"You have ten minutes to finish the exam." The teacher announced.
"Adyson, can you please step out of my light?" Gretchen politely asked, then glanced up to see Buford standing above her. "Just can't stop studyin'? Geesh, even 'Jeet takes a break every once and again."
Gretchen leapt to her feet. "Excuse me?" She demanded of Buford just before Adyson stepped between the two.
"I have all my text books memorized." Baljeet proudly stated. Gretchen narrowed her eyes, slammed her book shut, stuffed it in her bag and stormed off. "Gretchen's been under some stress lately, just go easy on her." Adyson whispered.
Phineas glanced at his watch and noted that there was only three minutes left. He'd already finished his exam and had been looking over his answers for the past forty minutes. What's taking her so long? Isabella's usually one of the first people finished; after Ferb and myself. He thought. I wonder if she's ill. I hope not, I was looking forward to asking her out to the movies later. There's a new one with her favourite actor in it premiering tonight.
"Time!" The teacher announced. "Place all your tests on the desk and I'll see everyone on Monday."
Phineas stood up, and grabbed his bag. He looked over at Isabella who seemed unhappy. "Come on, let's go get something to eat." He suggested. She looked up at him and whispered. "I didn't finish my test. What am I going to do now?"
The red-head grabbed her bag. "Don't worry about it until later. If you need help studying, I'll study with you." He said with a grin. Isabella sighed. "I'd like that, though I think that's what got me into this predicament in the first place."
Phineas cocked his head to the side. "What predicament are you talking about?" Isabella sighed. "When we were studying the other night… I didn't get any studying done." He blinked at her. "Why not? I was able to study."
Isabella walked with him out of the classroom. "That's the thing… I can't concentrate when I'm around you."
