Come Dance with Me

"I'm here!" Amu called as she walked into Ikuto's apartment. As per usual she slipped her shoes off and hung her purse on the coat rack. "Ikuto? You here?" She asked as she poked her head into the living room.
"Yeah I'm here." Ikuto called from the kitchen, "Go ahead and sit down on the couch. I'll be in in a minute.
Amu walked into the living room and plopped down on the old, worn down couch Ikuto had gotten from some yard sale a few months ago. It sagged down a bit where she sat, but by now she was used to it. Already feeling at home in Ikuto's small apartment, Amu closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. The smell of night air wafted in from the always open balcony door. It was a peaceful, calming sent to Amu now as it reminded her strongly of Ikuto. Amu felt her whole body relax as she waited for her ever mysterious boyfriend.
After a few minutes Ikuto finally poked his head into the living room. "Are you ready?" he asked.
"Ready as I'll ever be" Amu replied. The reason she was even over at Ikuto's place was because he had called saying that he was preparing some big surprise for her. Amu was eager to find out what it was, as Ikuto's surprises where always entertaining.
"That's good to hear." Ikuto said as he walked into the living room carrying a cd player.
"What's that for?" Amu questioned as Ikuto set it down on top of his TV.
"Just for a little something Dad helped me put together." Ikuto said as he pressed the play button, and as he did so violin music began to flood the room. The song that played was one that Amu knew well, as Ikuto often played it for her. The notes resonated deep within her.
"You made a CD of you playing." Amu said quietly, reveling in the moment.
Ikuto moved to stand in front of Amu, then bowed down a bit and extended his hand. "Would you care to dance?" He asked, flashing that enchanting smile of his.
Amu reached out and took Ikuto's outstretched hand. "I would love to." She replied as Ikuto helped her to her feet, and just as he did so the song changed to one Amu had never heard before. She looked at Ikuto with wonder in her eyes.
"Its name is 'Melody of Love'." Ikuto said, pulling Amu close. "I wrote it for you."
"Ikuto…" Amu mused as her cheeks flushed red and Ikuto began to lead her in a dance. The two circled around the small living room, swaying back and forth to the sound of Ikuto's violin coming from the CD player. Soon the song changed to one with a faster pace and their dancing quicken in pace as well. Soon the two where twirling around the room at twice the speed of the song, laughing loudly and simply enjoying themselves. As the song came to an end the two fell down onto the couch, still laughing.
"As much as I would love to continue" Ikuto said between chuckles "I've got dinner waiting for us in the kitchen."
"Is it fish again?" Amu asked playfully.
"Actually this time it's hamburger." Ikuto replied as he picked himself up from off the couch. "But I can always make fish next time."
"That sounds lovely. You truly know how to win a girl's heart." Amu said sarcastically with a bit of a giggle as Ikuto helped her to her feet.
"At least I know how to win your heart." Ikuto said before pulling Amu into a tender kiss. "Now let's go eat before the food gets cold."
