Lyrrik hit me over the head with this while I was doing my homework.
Lyrrik: *snickers*
Hmf. Anyway, it's based on the song "Breakfast in Mayfair" by Fairport Convention. Basically, a couple, presumably elderly, is discussing the latest mess caused by the outlaw known as Trinity. Set sometime before the first movie, I guess...
Disclaimer: I don't own the Matrix, I don't own Fairport Convention, I don't own rights to the song "Breakfast in Mayfair." Any surprises there? I didn't think so either.
"Breakfast in the City"
"The world has surely lost its head- the news is full of crimes
There's robberies on the Nightly News and murders in the Times.
And always more obituaries, and even one of these
concerns the tragic murder of an old Ms. Amy Lee.
The police know who to blame, they're sure- they saw her at the scene
Her sighting caused a hue and cry- she's wanted for sev'ral things.
A terrorist, if she is caught her soul will soon be frying
She's young, but old enough to kill and not too young for dying.
It's hoped the populace will help to track her down posthaste-
There's nowhere you can't find a wanted poster with her face.
This dangerous young ruffian, she cannot hide forever,
though p'lice have proved unable to find any clues whatever.
Forget it dear, it's not the first- there's sure to be another
The way you carry on you'd think that Amy was your mother.
This 'Trinity' has had her day, and soon she'll be forgotten
so put that paper down before your breakfast goes all rotten."
***
Yes, some of the rhymes are crummy, but that's the best I could do.
If you have no clue who Fairport Convention is, nevermind, but if you do, or you like the way the songfic goes or something, please review me.
Oh, and I invented a story to go behind the songfic: an agent was in the process of taking over Amy Lee's body, cutting off Trinity's escape, and Trinity shot the agent/person to get away. Police came in chasing her just as she left the scene and she got to her exit before they could follow her. And the media had a field day with it all.
Hence, the mess detailed in the songfic.
