Sighing, he rolled over, away from the entrance to their home. It was late at night and the forest was making all sorts of sounds, making it hard for Ikuto to sleep. He had no idea why, but lately he had been afraid of the dark. Normally if he was ever afraid, he'd have gone and slept with Yukidaromon, however... he pushed the memory away, sighing once more. It had only been maybe a week since the humans had attacked, a short time for Ikuto to get used to being alone. There was a soft yawn next to him, and he felt a small smile come over his face. No, he wasn't alone.
A breeze went through the trees, and he felt himself shiver and squirm closer to Falcomon, if only to feel safe. If the other woke up, Ikuto didn't think he could live this down. As if the universe was conspiring against him, he felt his friend sit up a little.
"Can't you sleep...?" came the tired question.
He didn't reply right away, feeling his face turn a light shade of red. "No..."
"Why?"
He bit his lip, and as if on cue, the wind made a particularly creepy sound, making him jump a little. "N-No reason." he said quickly.
As if putting two and two together (it wasn't that hard), the tired Digimon sighed dramatically and laid back down and tugged Ikuto closer. At first, he was going to snap and say he didn't need to be babied, however, the forest made another rather creepy sound, and Ikuto bit his tongue, squirming closer. The other was warm, and he felt his eyes begin to get heavy. Well... at least he wasn't being teased about this. On the other hand, Falcomon was probably too tired to bother at the moment.
Just as his eyes were closing, he mumbled a "Thank you", to which he received a tired grunt in reply. He slept well that night.
The next morning, he decided he was to old to be afraid of the dark, mainly due to a certain someone's teasing. Said someone was pushed out of a tree, Ikuto standing up on the empty branch with a smug look on his face as his friend flew back up and began muttering. They didn't speak of last night ever again.
