Disclaimer: I own nothing. I don't read Hinamori/Aizen, really, and I never was much of a fan. But I saw this fanart, Number One Crush by kara-lija on deviantART and it just sprouted a small thought about how blindly she follows him. Now this is shorter than my oneshots usually are, and I MIGHT extend it, write more into it. I just didn't want to drag it out and ruin the simple fact that she would just go, no questions asked.

And I'll Follow You

"I'm sorry, Hinamori-chan."

Aizen stood in the doorway of the fourth division room where she slept. He wasn't even sure why he was there. It was initially going to be a quick step into Soul Society before he was gone once again, intending for the shinigami to be obvlivious to his appearance. He had heard talk, though. Murmurs about how the division three and nine lieutenants were carrying on without their captains. He had almost walked away, until he heard them say it.

That the fifth division lieutenant had gone insane.

But he had killed her. He had been the one to pierce her flesh, even after he had went out of his way to avoid it.

Looking at her as she lay on the hospital bed, however, a frown formed on his lips. It hadn't been what he wanted. She was meant to die. It was his gift to her. To die with the illusion in her heart that he had been the perfect hero. Quick, nearly painless in a sense.

So why was she alive?

He didn't have any more time to think about this, though. Because her eyes snapped open and she flew up, as if she had had a nightmare. She didn't scream out, however--it seemed it was one she had had before.

And as their eyes met, she shook her head.

"You're not real."

No, definitely not what he wanted.

When she seemed to realize he hadn't disappeared, she raised her eyebrows, taking a step forward. "I knew it...you came back for me."

Ever so slowly he reached out his hand which she took without any second thoughts. Blindly following him wherever he would lead.

To a place where she wouldn't be locked away. Where she wouldn't be called insane. It was too late--and he wasn't sure he could be the one to pull the trigger a second time.

"Yes. I came back for you."

And there it is. R/R, please 3 And let me know if you want it to be extended at all or if it's just better short like this. I'm still just doing little things like this, trying my best to get into character because Bleach is still really hard for me for some bizarre reason. I read the manga, watch the anime, both sub and dub, and it's possibly the only one I am this caught up with--and I have tons of trouble so any suggestions would be great. I'm about to post my first chapter story and I only have two chapters written so anything will help.
