AN: Irrelevant information: It's raining outside, so I opened all of the doors in the house! I absolutely love the smell of rain.

I'm also watching the summer finale again. I'm sad that Annie has to move out, where shall she go? I'm wondering about who Jai was talking to at the end. So many questions that must be left unanswered till winter, sadly.

So without further ado… ENJOY! :)

Disclaimer: I do not own Covert Affairs. If I did, Annie wouldn't have been kicked out…

Hospital Chairs

Auggie Anderson has been in many different sleeping positions: lying down, sitting up, standing up, and even an odd combination of all three while he was spending a weekend in Cancun. But never has he felt as uncomfortable as he did now. He wasn't comfortable pacing back and forth, and neither were the doctors and nurses. So he then tried to sit down and try to get some sleep after one of the nurses asked him to sit down. He couldn't sit in that damn chair for long. He just needed to know she was okay; he needed to know his Annie was okay. When the nurse that was with Annie told him that they'd be there all night, he gathered three chairs closest to him in what he assumed to be a bed shape. He then laid down and tried to get some sleep because there was no way in hell that he was going to leave Annie alone. She needed to see somebody when she got out of that room. He knows he did.

He tried to sleep, he really did, but he'd keep waking up from discomfort. How could someone be so many uncomfortable in so many different places at the same time? He only got a few hours of sleep, not that he planned on sleeping anyways. He's had two cups of coffee, also. That might be why he was contemplation on getting one of those hats that he heard two of the nurse talking about. One passer-by said that they were going to get their friend a gift from the gift shop, which opens at eight o'clock.

During his final attempt at falling asleep, he heard a feminine voice take him away from the brink of falling asleep. "Are these two seats taken?" He knew that it was Annie. She was okay, his Annie was okay. Auggie silently chuckled at his conclusion. "It's amazing hoe my head, body and legs can be so uncomfortable at the same time."

"You've been waiting here all night for me?" Annie asked as he was getting up, surprise hinted in her voice.

"Me? No. The gift shop opens at eight and I wanted to get there before those stuffed whale top hats are-" he was stopped short by the sound of footsteps coming toward him. 1, 2, 3 steps and then he felt arms wrap around his neck in a hug. He reciprocated immediately, pulling her flush against him. She was smaller, he noted. But she fit even more perfectly than she usually did, which was a shock to him.

"It's going to be okay," He reassured both Annie and himself. He could feel he nod against his shoulder. He took a sniff of her hair and could only smell a little bit of grapefruit. "You're okay." He reassured her again.

"Thanks." Annie said letting go of her grip on Auggie, all too soon, in his opinion. "Are you ready to figure out who did this?"

AN: Yay! Another one-shot has been finished! :)

Remember to Smile :)
