This is another fic written by Stef and Chloe. We are high, so please
forgive us on this one. It is completely different to what we usually
write, and totally unconnected. We won't let this fic poison our other
ones. At least, not without warning you first. This is fluff, pure and
undiluted. Forgive us. So, read, and despair.
Disclaimer: Nothing belongs to us. It all belongs to someone else. Apart from what does belong to us (the plot), which doesn't belong to anybody else. Unless it belongs to somebody else. Anyway, on with the story…
Severus Snape attended Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry before he became potions master of the same school. Previous to his teaching at Hogwarts, he was a Death eater. Have you ever wondered why he stopped, and turned spy for Dumbledore? Now, you will find out. It happened while Harry's parents were still at school…
Severus had a secret. A secret that he never told anyone, as long as he lived. Nobody guessed it, not even Dumbledore. But here, you will find out the truth, the truth of what Snape never told anyone. He was devastated when Lily started going out with James Potter. The insolence! The insolence! No one would be able to satisfy James, least of all, Lily. His precious darling, the love of his life, his only reason for living was going out with that… that… that monster!
Severus's life came crashing down that day. Both of the two young wizards had had relationships with others before, but none went as far as this, and Severus knew, somehow, that this was real. This was going to succeed. The next few years of his life were cold and dark, without the hope of his ever getting together with his love. How would society view them, even if it was possible for them to get together? He, the hooked nosed, greasy haired Slytherin going with that, that amazing, wonderful Gryffindor. But the climax of his feelings came a few years after he graduated from Hogwarts. The invitation.
It came to him, written on white card in gold, embossed ink. The elegant script…the messenger of his despair. James was going to marry Lily. It couldn't be any worse. His love was going to marry that beast, that beast! That was when he decided to join the Death Eaters. He had no hope left in his life.
That brings us to a moonlit house, over a year later where his loved one, and his loved one's spouse were living. The Death Eaters entered. He smiled.
There were screams from inside the house, and Severus went white as a ghost. He recognised that scream! But Voldemort had promised that his loved one would not be killed. As the Death Eaters Disapparated, Severus ran swiftly into the ruined house. His love had to be alive!
A groan escaped his tightly pressed lips as he saw the body on the floor. NOOOOO!!! What about the promise! NOOOOO!!! Severus knelt, and cradled the head in his arms. Weeping softly, he kissed the cold hard cheeks of his love, and then the lips. Dead! How was it possible? His love was dead! Severus cried and cried, his tears splashing the soft black hair of his love…
A/N No, you idiots, Snape isn't colour blind! Think about it! Aaah, we comprehend the understanding dawning on your faces. The horror. Well, if you didn't like it, you shouldn't have read it.
