The first ever Zoological Column

This week's interesting creature has been deemed "impossible to train or domesticate" by the Ministry of Magic. The Nundu is an archaic beast, resembling a gigantic leopard. It has only been successfully subdued once before, by more than a hundred skilled witches and wizards all working together. According to the affidavits of those who survived, this beast must be approached very carefully, and use of the bubble-head charm (see weekly Useful Charm Column) is required. Any slight malfeasance will cause this deadly monster to attack, using weapons much more deadly than it's disease inducing breath, which said bubble-head charm works to deflect. Those who attempt to pacify this dysfunctional creature must be prepared with specific and sequential spell work, and must not, at any cost, equivocate. Your Daily Prophet Reporter found in her research of this ghastly beast that a young a foolish wizard once tried to control a Nundu by injecting some Euphoria potion into it's bloodstream. This unfortunate wizard's family failed to inscribe into his epitaph the exact nature of his demise, and the record of death on this anonymous wizard remains sealed within the Ministry of Magic, in some dusty old filing cabinet so that they may prosecute any Nundu that ever comes into the Department of the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.
