Author's note: This is my first Carby fiction in over a year. I may be a little rusty. I have also not been following the season very much, so I may not be factually incorrect, but this is a fiction isn't it?
Chapter One
Abby woke, startled by a sound. Someone was pounding on her door. Can't a girl get some sleep? She thought, stumbling over a basket of clothes while making her way to the door. She ran her hands through her hair to try to make herself look somewhat presentable to the other person on the other side. She unlocked the door and opened it slowly, peeking through the crack. When she noticed who it was on the other side, she whipped the door open.
"Carter!" She exclaimed. He didn't reply. He looked absolutely dreadful. She had never seen him like this before. His eyes were red and watery. His hair was unusually tossled, taking his normal professional look away. His shoulders were drooped. If Abby hadn't known him, her first glance would tell her to shut the door and call the police. He stood there, waiting for her to let him in. Let him cry his heart out. Let him love her like he always wanted to. Let him lay in her arms again...
Carter rid his head of his thoughts. He love Kem. Not Abby. He thought quickly. What was he doing here? His father came to his aid. He could've used him, but now he was standing in front of Abby. Abby looked sympathetically. I don't love her. I don't love her.
