My first real Doctor Who fic! This idea's been nagging at me for some time, and I just had to put it down.
On with the fic!
Shock
The TARDIS spun out of control, bucking and wheezing. Inside, the 10th Doctor and Donna Noble clutched to the console for dear life.
"What the hell is goin' on?" Donna yelled over the noise. "How offen does this happen?"
The Doctor grimaced. "We're crossing another field of time. Another Time Vortex has been opened up and we're encountering some turbulence trying to cross it."
"What?" Donna shouted, looking completely lost.
"We're paddling against the current," the Doctor said, pulling down a lever.
"Oh, simple as that, then?" Donna asked.
Shuddering and groaning, the TARDIS finally came to a stop, though a loud humming could still be heard.
"Where are we?" Donna asked, irritably brushing her hair out of her face.
The Doctor pulled over a monitor and studied it intensely. "Hmm…We're on some sort of ship…heading towards Earth…around 65 million years before humans…"
His eyes widened. "It can't be…" he whispered.
He dashed outside, Donna following him. "Doctor?" she asked. "Doctor, where are we?"
The Doctor led Donna down a corridor, pausing in front of a door and motioning for silence.
Inside, a small explosion was heard, followed by a strange synthesized groaning.
A male voice was heard.
"Well…now I'll never know if I was right."
The Doctor burst open the door. "Hurry, come with us!" he shouted, extending his hand.
The person inside turned around, a look of shock upon his face. "Who are you?"
"Hurry, we don't have time!" The Doctor exclaimed, grabbing the confused person by the arm and dragging him back towards the TARDIS.
Donna followed behind them, trying to keep up. "Doctor, what's-"
"Hurry, into the TARDIS!" The Doctor shouted. "We are about to have a very large crash, which I personally don't think we stand a good chance of surviving!"
The person smiled. "The TARDIS! He did come back for me!"
The Doctor shoved both of them inside, then dashed in himself. He immediately reset the coordinates, sending the TARDIS back through the Time Vortex.
The person looked about in wonder. "Wait…the inside wasn't like this before! Why did he change it? It looked much better the way it was, not so…messy."
"Doctor, who is this bloke?" Donna demanded.
The person swiveled around to face the Doctor. "Doctor?" he asked, eyes wide. "Have you regenerated again?"
"About five times, as a matter of fact," The Doctor said avidly. He pushed a lever on the console and grinned.
"Donna Noble, meet…Adric!"

Who guessed it before the end?
I put Donna in there because is over-saturated with Rose and Martha's a bit meh. I personally think Donna is the best new series companion so far. THAT'S RIGHT, ROSE FANGIRLS, I SAID IT! TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT! I DARE YOU!!
Ahem.
It could work, within the timeline. I mean, we didn't techinically see him die, so for all we know some other Doctor could have rescued him. Here, I chose Ten. I think a Ten-Donna-Adric trio would be hilarious to watch.
