A Friendship Renewed
The stars of the sky keep twinkling down,
Reminding all to smile who frown.
I feel the cold, damp, twilight air,
Seeping through my golden hair.
Fields of Hyrule in memories past,
Now lost to the era that never will last.
Though I'm alone in my struggle of late,
I will find a way to make love out of hate,
To repair broken edges, jagged and crude,
Find a way for hard feelings to somehow elude.
I never meant harm, I never meant fear,
I never meant hassles, I never meant tears.
I beg for forgiveness, just let me shine true,
Our lives can start over, a friendship renewed.
All of this time, I felt so alone,
No longer a place for me to run home.
My fears were relinquished the day you appeared,
Awaiting disaster, with nothing to fear.
I knew you could save me, I would be all right,
But I didn't plan to fall weak to your might.
My frequent rejoices you did not seem to share,
My hidden emotions pretend not to care.
But now, after all of this dread and this pain,
I find it within me to treat you the same,
For I didn't mean trouble, I did this for you,
My heart and my soul tell me just what to do.
The stars of the sky keep twinkling down,
Reminding all to smile who frown.
This is my departure from the poetry genre, after a whopping two poems. I just found it tiresome, I guess, and wanted something that rhymed to leave by. All questions answered in the Author's Notes!! First off, this is from Zelda's point of view, at night, thinking about what Link thinks of her and what she will do for him when he defeats Ganon. I still don't like my poetry, but this one's better in my opinion. Please PLEASE review!!
