Albus Severus had always been really jealous of his brother's name. James Sirius Potter had a nice ring to it. He thought it would be really cool to be named after two really famous, handsome, pranksters that were leaders of the marauders.
Now, Al had also been semi-jealous of his little sister's name, Lily Luna. Luna Lovegood was one of his favorite adults, and she didn't seem like an adult at all! Even with her loony, zany beliefs, she was still quite fascinating to listen to. While he didn't want to be named after a girl, he thought that if he was a girl, he would very much like to be named after Lily Potter. My goodness, she died to save her son! He was sure that his sister felt the pressure to have the same qualities; to be brave, kind, sweet and strong all at once.

Albus was quite curious about his first and middle names, Albus and Severus. He knew that Albus Dumbledore was a great man who was headmaster of Hogwarts and helped his father defeat Voldemort. He knew less about Severus Snape, but he knew he was brave and he killed Dumbledore. Really pointless name was what he thought! His middle namesake killed his first!
He had always been really proud of his last name, because two very brave men who had fought he-who-must-not-be-named were Potters, one being his dad and the other his grandfather. Lately, though, it had gotten really confusing with James, Lily and himself all at Hogwarts with the teachers scolding (or praising, in lily's case) them at every turn.
His initials were quite interesting, also. ASP is a venomous snake, and he sure hoped that that wasn't predicting something in the future. When he asked his father on this subject, he said that he and his mother had not thought of that when they named him. He then quickly muttered to Uncle Ron something along the lines of "what about that basilisk?" His father and Uncle Ron began chuckling. Aunt Hermione, who must have heard them, gave them a look of disgust, and the two immediately stopped laughing.
Authors Note: Im not sure if anyone will get the last paragraph...I was hinting at r/hr kissing in book 7 and the basilisk in book 2.
