It was the best of days, it was the worst of days. What I mean to say is that it was a completely ordinary day. In fact, it had been a completely ordinary life. And she couldn't stand it. Not a single second more.

You see, Haruhi Suzumiya had never wanted an ordinary life. She wanted something with excitement, something strange. She was desperate for the unusual; for aliens, time travelers, espers, something! Anything interesting would do.

As soon as the thought entered her head, she couldn't believe she didn't think of it sooner. To find the unusual, you had to break out from everyday life. More so than just changing her hair. This would need to be big.

She stood up abruptly, startling the students around her. Suddenly, all eyes were on her, but Haruhi didn't care. She never had cared what her classmates thought of her, save one, why should today be different?

"Miss Suzumiya, is something the matter?" asked the teacher.

Haruhi looked at him for a second as an excited and determined look overtook her face.

"Not anymore," was all she said as she grabbed the back of Kyon's collar and walked from the room with him in tow.

Once they were in the corridor, Kyon broke free from Haruhi's surprisingly strong grasp.

" What the hell? Are you crazy? You are going to get us into so much trouble!" he whisper-yelled.

"Don't worry about that. Kyon, what are your plans for the future?"

"What?" Kyon asked, not understanding the reasons behind her question.

"You heard me. What are you going to do with your life? Once graduation is done, what are you going to do?"

"You forcibly removed me from class to ask what I'm doing with my summer?"

"Don't be dense! I'm talking about your life. Are you just going to go to college, get a boring job at some huge company with a horrible boss and work until you die?"

"I...um. Ya, I guess, I mean I wouldn't have put it qu-"

"Perfect!" said Haruhi as she grabbed his hand and pulled him away from the school and the life he had known

So this is the one that I had started like a month ago and finally found today. I don't own any of these characters, I'm just borrowing them for some playtime. Also I totally thought that I had more written already, short chapters are shitty and I hate them too.
