Prologue
Hey guys! This idea hasn't left me alone so I'm posting it on here to get it out of my head! It's based on a 'design your own planet' project I had to do in school.
Many times throughout human history, we have wondered whether or not there is life out in the depths of space. But no one new how close they truly were.
Far away in a galaxy not too different from our own is a planet. This planet's name is Vampiris. Getting white light from its sun yet, having no UV light, the Night Children - also known as vampires - thrive in the large central city called Dracul.
In a large multi-pointed star shape, none of the human population can get through the high walls that surround it. The world is split into two lands, the Northern and Southern lands.
In the Northern lands, they embrace, and even celebrate the fact that there are vampires protecting them and their world. They treat people who are chosen to be a vampires soulmate - being born with a black crescent moon on the back of their neck - are treated like kings/queens.
The same cannot be said for the Southern lands.
If you are a vampires soulmate in the Southern lands you are treated as the lowest of the low. You are branded on the mark on the back of your neck so that it takes longer for your vampire to find you.
This, my dear friends is where our tale of love beyond belief and love beyond hope is born, into a world of prejudice and fear, yet being pure an true beyond comprehension.
