~The Moon Watches~

The moon watches.
It is watching three friends turning themselves into animals for the loyalty of the fourth.
The moon watches as one turns into a stag, proud and brave.
The moon watches as another turns into a large dog, misheivious, yet always friendly.
The moon watches as the last turns into a rat, reflecting his true personality.
All of this trouble to help the fourth, a werewolf that needs to know that he is accepted.
They had great adventures every month, for years.
For years the moon watches.
In the end, all four think the adventures of Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs are over.
But the moon knows better.
The same moon, years later, sees the four one night, one is fighting for his life, another is unable to do anything because it is a full moon, one has just told everything, and the last is racked with guilt.
Now the four really think that the adventures are over.
But the moon still knows better. The moon knows the adventures are not over yet, there is one more to complete. It will the be the final one, and it will answer repeatedly asked questions.
And the moon still watches.
Several years later, the moon is still watching, waiting.
Several years later, the moon watches a young boy come to Hogwarts.
The moon is still watching.
Then one night, the night the moon has been waiting for, Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs return all at once.
Two come to expose a traitor, one comes against his will, and one comes out of the boy's heart.
And the moon is still watching.
First watching the fantastic four, then the terrific three, the moon watches.
It is watching.
