Jessica Moore paused on the way out of the lingerie department, catching sight of the clearance rack. She glanced through the sales items, Nancy soon joining her in the bargain hunt.

"What about this?" Nancy held up a lacy pink negligee.

"Too girly," Jess passed instant judgment. "Besides, the lace itches."

Nancy returned the rejected item to the rack and kept looking.

Jessica held up a boy-shorts-and-top set. "Perfect!"

"Really, Jess?" Nancy questioned, indicating the top's blue figures. "The Smurfs?"

"Sam'll love it." Jess answered confidently. She knew everything she needed to about her lanky, gorgeous boyfriend's tastes and desires.
