The movement of the train gently lulled him to sleep

To xravenscroftx for being a plot bunny fan.

For those who haven't read my story 'matters of humanity' I'll fill you in.

A girl is found dead at the bottom of Haytor, Dartmoor, Devon.
Sherlock becomes involved in the case, taking Dr. Watson down to the moor with him.
However, while they are there strange things begin to happen and Watson begins attacking Holmes in his sleep.
Eventually Sherlock Holmes is strangled and announced dead.
The case remains unsolved
This is where we pick up.

The movement of the train gently lulled him to sleep.

His eyes did not witness the rolling countryside passing him by outside the window.

Only you are there to observe him in his slumber, only your eyes watch him now, breathing deeply.

You slide open the door and step into the room with him, you're curious, of course you are; there's so much going on, why wouldn't you be?

You are sat there for some time before he speaks, he doesn't say much, just 'Agnes.'
He says it softly, unsurely, you reach out to touch him, let him know of your presence, he shudders and draws his coat about him, taking in a long, raking breath, "I don't believe in ghosts." he states.

You don't bother replying, you know he's scared, he knows you're watching.

He shifts slightly, he still hasn't looked up or even opened his eyes, "Agnes." He repeats, "Who killed you?"

You open your mouth and a high-pitched wail emits from it, you try to stop screaming but you can't, he can't hear you and he still doesn't know, how will he ever find out?

You close your mouth, he has opened his eyes, but is not looking up, maybe he can hear you...
