I don't own Transformers Prime, it belongs to Hub Network and Hasbro. All of the characters belong to them as well except Hazel who belongs to me.
Hazel Fowler considered herself a rather average teenager. She liked listening to her music and spent hours on her hair and makeup and outfits. She also enjoyed reading for fun. However, Hazel wasn't an average teenager in other ways.
She usually joined her father, Agent William Fowler, on his trips to the Autobot base. Hazel was already used to the large robotic life-forms her father visited, known amongst themselves as Autobots or even Cybertronians when being technical. Hazel considered herself lucky that she spent so many days with the alien beings. Her father even sometimes let her go driving with some of the Autobots, usually a male named Cliffjumper and a female named Arcee.
Her least favorite day started normally. Hazel and Cliffjumper were driving down a dirt road scouting for energon, the life source of all Cybertronians. Cliffjumper was telling a story to Arcee and Hazel. "Two beams light up my rear-view mirror. And then it hits me. I'm illegally parked." Cliffjumper tells the girls. "What happened?" Hazel asked, excitement at the story making her lean forward in her seat. "You got another parking ticket?" Arcee asked her fellow Autobot, and Hazel could sense the irritation in her voice. "Better. I got the boot." Cliffjumper replied, grinning to himself. "The local police do their thing, I let them get all the way down the block. Then kick off my new shiny shoe." "And you scared them? Awesome!" Hazel giggled, picturing the New York police watching a red car driving itself away from them. "You know what I always say. Mess with Cliffjumper-" Cliff started, only to be cut off by Arcee. "And you get the horns." Arcee sounded bored, having heard that phrase lots of times. "Your so cool, Cliff!" Hazel grinned. "I wish I'd been there to see it." "Maybe next time, kid. After all, what your father doesn't know won't hurt him." Cliff replied, amusement and pride evident in his voice. "Don't forget Autobot rule number one. Keep a low profile." Arcee reminded her friend. "Arcee, your such a buzzkill." Hazel complained to the female Autobot.
"Hey, what's that?" Hazel asked suddenly, seeing a scanner appear on the dashboard. "I'm getting an energon signal." Cliff replied. "Need backup?" Arcee asked. "Do I ever?" Cliff carefully drove towards the energon. He found a large hole filled with energon. Hazel climbed out of the Autobot, allowing him to transform back into his robotic form. They saw the Decepticon ship which began to fire at them, and Hazel dived behind some rocks for cover while Cliff took the worst of the attack. He was thrown into the hole of energon, just as lots of Decepticon drones dropped out of the ship. "About that backup..." Cliff told Arcee. He transformed into his car form to get out of the hole and transformed back into a robot to punch some of the drones.
Hazel watched from behind her rocks as Cliff beat up the drones. However, some managed to defeat Cliff, knocking one of his horns off in the process. Cliff got back up and began shooting at the drones, but they just kept coming. They knocked him back down and he lost the energy to get back up. Hazel watched as the drones dragged Cliff onto their ship, she kept watching until he was out of sight, praying the other Autobots would get there in time...
