Very fond of this one. When I read it to my brothers, I told them to guess who it was talking about. They, of course, were like, "Duh!" and "That's obvious", but I threw them for a loop. So muahaha. I'm so tricky.

ONE SMALL BOY

One Small Boy grows up

To hold the galaxy in the palm of his hand.

To hold the galaxy in the palm of his hand,

If, and only if, he makes the right choice.

The choice of his life will change the fate of the galaxy.

Taken at a young age,

Trained by the Masters.

Constructs a sky-blue lightsaber when he came of age.

Racing off with his master across the galaxy

On missions with no concrete ending.

Grows to become an excellent pilot;

One of the best.

Meeting friends and enemies;

Conquering those who threaten him or his loved ones.

Brave and honorable, even after the death of a beloved.

Avenged that death using anger as his power.

Learning the mysteries of the Force and

Using it to save himself and others.

Becoming a Jedi Knight.

Creating a new lightsaber of the same sky-blue

When his is destroyed.

Being part of an unstoppable team.

Gaining fame around the galaxy for his

Unmatched skills;

Skills that remain unmatched

Except from his closest friend and partner.

Rescuing the Supreme Chancellor in a fight for freedom

That nearly costs him his life.

Destroying Sith when the need arises,

And whenever he is able.

Being separated from his companion for the first time

In years.

Meeting up with his friend in a fight to the death

Over a roaring river of lava.

Continuing on with his life

Even after undoable damage to himself

Has occurred at the hands of his best friend.

That small boy with the galaxy in his clutches

Let it slip away in the greatest mistake of his life.

Arrogance was his undoingand he knows it.

He knows that he could have done better,

That he failed his mission.

And yet there is nothing he can do about it.

Not now.

And yet he still owns the galaxy.

He is one with it, in a way.

He knows its many planets like the back of his hand,

Even the distant and remote Outer Rim worlds.

This because of his many missions with his master,

Later, his dearest companion.

The galaxy is owned by all who use it the way

That is best for the beings that inhabit it.

He lives in despair, and yet hopes.

Knowing that great things are still yet to come.

Living and commanding his home

In the great Galactic Empire.

Sensing things around him,

Most particularly one who is also strong in the Force.

A boy, growing up on a remote planet.

Meeting up with that boy.

Teaching that boy who his once-great father

Really is.

Facing that boy with all of his trials and tribulations

Up until the time he dies.

He dies in peace, knowing that he has done

All that he could to rectify the mistake he made

So long ago.

And now that One Small Boy

With the galaxy in his hands

Is one with the Force.

The way it was always meant to be.

That One Small Boy who made

The greatest mistake

And the greatest choice

That ever was made

Arrogance. Pride was his undoing,

And nearly the undoing of the galaxy.

And yet the wars are over,

And Peace reigns again.

His mistake was not unforgivable

He still remains

One of the greatest Jedi Knights

To keep peace,

Justice

Security

And Prosperity

In the galaxy.

And for this, that One Small Boy

Who held the worlds of the Universe in his hands

Will become a legend.

This is the life of

Obi-Wan Kenobi.
